Been a long time since I played a resident evil but this was fun. Not your normal zombie RE was more werewolves and vampires but looks great and had some good jump scares. I played it twice

What a great game, a direct sequel to Resident Evil Biohazard. Resident Evil Village is certainly a game that lived up to the previous ratings achieved for Biohazard, the game has a mirage of terrifying moments whether it be out in the woods, mines, or dungeons. And in conjunction with a great storyline, purchasers of this game shall not be disappointed, recommended highly for anyone with any sort of horror interests as this is about as good as it gets.

I begrudgingly returned my copy of Resident Evil 8 today. Everything looked great; that Ray-Tracing made the atmosphere drip with terror, while the dialogue struck a balance between natural and stilted campiness that makes RE iconic. But, my god, the controller input was unbearable. I tried every variation, which including turning off aim smooth, messing with the input sensitivity, toggling aim assist. No matter what, the camera speed would shift abruptly and inconsistently. I found myself reliving driving a stick shift for the first time, the car awkwardly crunching and jerking forward.

With games like the last few Call of Duty’s hosting generous customisation options for input tweaking, while other titles like The Last of Us 2 that have honed their input so well, they make aiming at 30fps bearable - not to mention Capcom’s own RE2/3 remakes - it seems a little ridiculous to be encountering this sort of thing with a triple-A title in this day and age.

One of the better more immersive games I enjoyed in 2021. It wasn't one of the drawn out games with nonsense filler like some out there, some may see this as being a little short but I felt it was just right.
I'm enjoying the direction the Resident Evil series has gone lately.

Doesn't quite follow the typical resident evil gameplay, but takes the series in a new positive direction. However, it is a little too short - not worth full price, but thankfully it regularly goes on sale.

It's not as spooky as RE7, and has far more combat, but it was a great thrill ride.
Controls are a bit wonky, but its RE, they always are.
Definitely well worth the purchase!

I gave this a 3 star because it was just not as interesting as the last game (resident evil 7) and it just doesn't worth the price. The game is a bit too short, and i just didn't get the experience out of it. Hopefully they will make a come back though.
