Rescuing Rayne was no different it delivered all these things wrapped up in a lovely package that was Ghost.
I am glad Stoker has moved back towards the militarily men as I was missing my Seal of Protection guys and didn't connect as well with the Texas series.
Overall, another good romance with the right amount of steam and suspense to get you hooked!
Hot alpha, strong female and besides the love story the storyline throughout the book holds attention just as much as the heat.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters were relatively well rounded and the writing was good. The pacing was also good and I enjoyed that the first part of the story wasn't rushed; there was no case of magic dick which makes the characters fall in love, they H and h actually get to know each other and fall in love.
However, I have a huge issue with rape being used as a motivator, and I understand the general premise of soldier love stories needing to rescue a damsel in distress. But I don't believe that the characters would bounce back from the ordeal so quickly. If the character is going to go through something traumatic, there needs to be a believable healing process (I love Sarah Mass's Court of Mist and Fury as an example).
I rarely read contemporary romance but when I am in the mood I like to check out new authors.
Found that I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It didn’t drag, flag or go off point.
I grabbed this as a free read through a promotion but as it is not in KU and I won’t be paying the prices asked as there are too many books to be read, I will be reading what books from this author I can get through my library.
I realised whilst posting this review that I had read a book by this author last year and it was a DID NOT FINISH which is why I have not touched her books since.
I am interested in the secondary characters and may consider reading another book of theirs much later on.

This was the most down to earth, with over the top alpha male and stuborn heroine story I have read in a long time. Not to spoil the story I loved it had that dramatic situation but without actual drastic episode. I loved the both side of the sory telling trough the chaptwrs, giving an inside of everyones feelings and intentions during all of the situations.
I realky didn't want to put the book down. Happily Ever After with a long a bumpy road to get there. While reading I could really put this story i to a real life not just a made up romance written in fantastic style.
I would recomend it, even tho it's long it was most enjoyable!!!!!!5 stars from me .
I seriously got annoyed with author and rayne.
The book improved with the action in Cairo. This was good and kept my attention. That's why it's 4 not 3*.
BTW a man walking on outside of pavement. It's a sign of etiquette. My father did this when walking with me or any female. It's what gentlemen did. Nothing romantic about it. Third degree burns, don't hurt as the nerve endings are burnt away.
They go sight seeing with Rayne (MISTAKE 2.) wearing high heals in the heavy rain?
They have an amazing one night stand with Rayne having multiple orgasms, yes of course she does. They agree that they can have a one night stand and that’s it. When Ghost sneaks out in the morning, (MISTAKE 3.) Rayne is really disappointed as she was hoping to change his mind. After he’s said about ten times that it can’t be more??? She goes home to her friend Mary, (They have a really bizarre friendship, with Mary practically controlling Rayne.) Six months later Rayne is taken by rebels in Egypt, and rescued by Ghost. Of course.
After she is rescued by Ghost and his team and she has healed from her injuries, she goes to stay with him, after Mary has told Ghost that she will take Rayne home if he does anything to hurt her. Does Rayne not have her own free will??? Is she not adult enough to make a decision on her own??? Sex scenes are okay. A bit predictable. Ghost is an arse! Why can’t he just tell her he’s in the military?? He doesn’t have to say anything else! It was okay. The whole Muslim terrorist part is just silly!!! I didn’t like Rayne st all! I thought she was so whiny in London and just lets Mary control her! What sort of person goes through her boyfriends stuff while reporting to her friend Mary, what’s in the there???? That’s his private things!!!
So glad this book was free!!
**** SPOILER ALERT ***
When Rayne is taken hostage, she is taken to a room on her own with loads of men. A young Muslim man has to rape her seven times in different positions, and the more she bleeds the more lucky he is!!! OH COME ON!!! THIS WOULDN’T HAPPEN!!! He might rape her but not with a load of older men watching and grading him on how long he can last!!!! Sorry this is really bad writing!
