I enjoyed learning about conductors and ensembles. The main character, Cressa, accepts what she thinks is a dream job to conduct at a start-up ensemble. She move from Chicago to a setting in a town in Minnesota during the cold of winter. She connects with members of the ministry and staff at a neighboring church and is offered some work there. What she doesn't expect is to find herself knee deep in murder cases. The author is adept at changing point-of-view effectively. She does a great job of weaving her murder mystery into Cressa Carraway's world of music. A traditional murder mystery set in a symphony type music environment.
