I read the first book, The Replacement Wife, probably 2 or 3 years ago and remembered that liked the book, but not Chloe. No idea why it's taken me so long to read this one, but I decided to check it out when I saw it while scrolling through my ever-growing TBR collection.

I had no love for Miss Chloe in the first book. Funny how I liked her almost immediately in this one. She was definitely a changed person. Or, as she said, she was finally free to be the real Chloe. Her girl Lichelle still needs some folks to pray for her, though, cause she is much too much.

Chloe and Dustin both had been living on the wild side, and I liked that neither tried to judge the other. They may not have been upfront with each other about their pasts, but when their truths came out, they didn't hold the things they'd done against each other. And th

Chloe was introduced in an earlier story, The Replacement Wife as a scheming plotting gold digger. In that story Chloe's rich boyfriend ditched her for a singing praying nanny. Chloe was hurt but she wasn't stupid. She consulted an attorney and received a huge settlement. In The Replacement Husband, Chloe moved to Washington, DC for a fresh start. Chloe changed in Washington and was now on a mission to find love . She met Dustin McArthur, an ex NFL. Dustin had also made mistakes in the past. Dustin had four children by four different women and money problems. Can the two of them find love and their forever happy ending? I enjoyed reading this story. Chloe proved she could think of others and not just herself. She and Dustin both came clean to each other about their past. Dustin was an honorable man and not looking for handouts. I only wished Dustin could have gotten custody of three of his children. His baby mamas did not seem like suitable mothers. Their primary motivation was to collect a paycheck from a rich athlete.

I enjoyed this novel but felt it could've been a little more in depth. The concept of losing your first love and starting off looking for another rich beau and then ending up with one that has nothing to offer but love was great, its just the ending was very abrupt and then 25% space was left to fill with 6 chapters from another book that could've extended the story to me was not the best way to fill up the book. I like Tiffany's writing style but I hope every novel does not describe the male character with light eyes and a great physique because Dustin was described like Quentin. Over all I did like the book it was a quick read and I will eventually read The Bishops Daughter as well.
