The author touched on a rougher style of sex than they used to have (before the amnesia) but didn't go deeper into that. Or what Clem will do as a career... everything is leaving us hanging, the details there but not FINISHED. It's a real shame, SHAME on the author, as a reader the worst thing for me is to get invested in a book only for it to leave me hanging without the completed story. This book would have greatly benefited for a DUAL POV, I would have loved to know the hurt that Clem had left Ed with, we were told of his devastation and I felt a bit of it but not enough.
If everything else was good then I could overlook the style of editing, (or maybe it's the style the author chooses) either way it annoyed me - uncompleted sentences, sentences that started with And, Or. Also missing to complete the sentence - is, it, and.
I could have LOVED this book and after reading back to back 5 stars books (The Rebel of Raleigh High by Callie Hart and Pretty Reckless by L.J. Shen) this one was a real disappointment.
Just not a lot of magic. Most people will enjoy this book but I suspect it will be forgotten very quickly by the reader and be lost in the kindle amongst many other just so so romances.
Now living with her sister, she is trying to piece together the jigsaw pieces of her life.
After locating the tattooist who did her shoulder piece, Clem learns that Ed Larsen was previously her ex boyfriend who she almost broke. She is realising that pre amnesia Clem has left a lot of hurt in her wake with friends and loved ones and that she is now a somewhat better version of herself purely by circumstance.
Ed Larsen is struggling to understand how the one person he once deeply loved but now resents, doesn’t even know who he is. Although he doesn’t want Clem back in his life he can’t turn her away either.
Repeat was a book about second chances and redefining oneself. I loved watching Clem and Ed reconnecting, rediscovering intimacy, creating new memories and falling in love all over again. It was just fantastic...
Clem is a woman who is experiencing firsts for the second time. After being attacked and losing her memory, she doesn't know anything about herself. She trackes down her ex boyfriend to get some insights, and the drama ensues.
Ed and Clem together had me constantly wondering. What made them break up? What was past Clem thinking and feeling? Would Ed love the new Clem or always compare her to her old self? I loved how this story developed and kept me guessing til the end.
This book is another 5 star winner from the talented Kylie Scott.

Taking a different spin on a second chance romance, I started Repeat one evening and finished it early the next morning - I didn't want to put it down (but needed the sleep).
Clem and Ed are great characters (with some off the charts chemistry) and I really enjoyed the way they were brought back together (although obviously wouldn't wish a traumatic brain injury on anyone in real life).
I'm a fan of Kylie's books and this one was up there with the best of them for me, it ticked all the boxes.
A traumatic head injury with amnesia is one way to have another chance at true love.
As a plot device this was intriguing, and there was suspense in the story. I liked her use of this device to explore trust within the relationship. I like her other novels better particularly "trust" and "it seemed like a good idea at the time", but this is a great read that you will love.
