Renewal is about how each one of us can:+ Renew ourselves at a body-mind-spirit level+ Renew our society and our environment and+ Renew the systems we operate with
As of 2020, Renewal is critical, because it is our laxity that has led to the current state of rising personal illness, mindless lifestyles, social degeneration, environmental degradation, and overall moral decay.
Written to serve as a practical guide for everyone's day-to-day 'karma,' Renewal is set in the lives of a modern-day family. It is strung together by the charismatic Guru Pranachandra, whose discourse drives home the vital message: that the world is a mere 30 habits away from Renewal.
Adopters of these habits will be the future Renewalists, who could well outnumber the Vegans, Buddhists, Technologists and Catholics in times to come. And it is these Renewalists who hold the key to save the world from annihilation.

About the author

Sandeep Nath, an IIT-IIM alumnus, is an international speaker and coach on arriving at success using one’s inner power. He is also an energy master, mindfulness trainer, Tibetan Buddhist, columnist and blogger. As a coach, he has conducted workshops at over 25 centers across four continents.
In spite of more than two decades of directing and setting up successful ventures in the corporate world, Sandeep felt an increasing sense of hollowness and lack of existential clarity among people in general. When the window to the world of network marketing opened out to him, suddenly, he experienced a surge of higher consciousness and purpose, which serendipitously coincided with the spiritual pursuits that he concurrently discovered. Sharing this with the world at large became the aim of his first book, Arrive At Success.
His second book, RENEWAL, is about our unexpected role in saving the planet; simple habits that will raise human consciousness. Guided by an energy form called Guru Pranachandra, Sandeep intertwined a family drama with a practical guide for adopting 30 habits that will help renew our world. These include a set of habits for self-renewal of body, mind, and spirit; symbiotic renewal of our relationships with each other and with the planet; and systemic renewal of the man-made systems that do not serve us to raise consciousness anymore.
Sandeep lives in India in Delhi. He also lives online at https://SandeepNath.com

Renewal captures the global zeitgeist. Sandeep Nath states, “the cover of this book has my name on it, but I am not the author. I am the scribe for Guru Pranachandra, who is a manifestation of energy”. The index gives the impression that it is another self-help book that will save ourselves and our planet. It is all this, and much more.
The format is engaging: a narrative introduces the characters and their roles in each other’s lives before moving into a talk by Guru Pranachandra, in which the systemic habits are delivered. There are ten each for Self-Renewal (individuals’ highest potential), Symbiotic Renewal (community health) and Systemic Renewal (environmental health). With “Aha!” moments in every chapter, they are delivered through a wealth of acronyms and tips which allow for easier integration. Key quotes in large-font boxes present the most pertinent information clearly. This resource, a practical guidebook for life, can be dipped into whenever people feel the need for spiritual realignment.
The information invites introspection. Snippets of the story, focusing on individual characters’ thoughts, provide a break from this level of cognition while strengthening the feeling of actually being present in Guruji’s audience. Evocative descriptions of Pranachandra’s movements and facial expressions add to the immediacy of the scenario, as do his often-playful responses to the questions from audience members. The narrative’s unfolding reveals a mystery, which would have benefitted from greater clarity; some of the twists and turns were confusing.
The text would also have benefitted from closer editing: it was sometimes difficult to tell when the Guru stopped talking and the narrator started. This does not diminish the content, although it does make it slightly harder to access.
This extraordinary text deserves space and time for its reading – and re-reading.
The take-home message is that “in everything, there is a trinity of body, mind and spirit” which draws the habits of Self-Renewal, Symbiotic Renewal and Systemic Renewal together. This mirrors the detailed explanation of the cover graphic and sets the scene for the type of information to come.
Renewal is for anyone experiencing helplessness. As the Guru states, “your inner power multiplies when you share it… for you are born with all you need for yourself”. Take this opportunity to be the best that you can be and contribute the most that you can contribute, to yourself and the world around you.

Let me start by saying that this, you will get the most out of a book like this if you read it not only with an open mind - but an open heart. As you read you will discover that everything that is communicated in what becomes a very natural way. The ideas, teachings and habits certainly feel organic, if I can describe them as that. I think as you read you will understand how they do connect with nature.
Many 'self-help' books take on a narrative that feels hard to connect with at times, but by the end of the epilogue you are hooked with this. I don't usually write reviews, but after being recommended I read this book in a group of online - I was sent a copy of it. I felt so compelled to share my feelings on the book as it deserves to be read by everyone!
We are in a unique environment right now, and i truly believe the world is more open to change, and they see the change that can be instigated from positive habits. Many people have had an opportunity like no other to review their habits and realign their priorities.
I myself included. The lockdown gave me an opportunity to reflect on my own habits, routines and health. Since the start I have managed to make positive change and with all of that momentum behind me this book fell on my lap. At the right time.
Sandeep helped communicate the story from the muse, the main character in this story, Guru Pranachandra, who I have a vivid picture of in my head, smiling, teaching us the profound lessons that can shape our life and the community around us.
HIGHLY recommended for anyone interested in the power of habits, the positivity that can be achieved through such simple steps and our role to create change in the world around us.
I do hope that the Systematic Renewal he writes about can come true, but I believe it needs to start within ourselves. 5 STARS!!
