From the Back Cover
The Argeneau family has a secret . . . one of their own is a rogue vampire!
Nicholas Argeneau was once a successful hunter who went after rogue vampires who broke the immortal law. Except no one has mentioned his name in the last fifty years, not since he turned into a rogue himself. But once a hunter, always a hunter. When Nicholas sees a bloodthirsty sucker terrifying a woman, it's second nature for him to come to her rescue. He had no idea he would also want to kiss her senseless . . .
One minute Josephine Willan is taking in a breath of fresh air, and the next sharp fangs are heading straight for her neck! Luckily, a gorgeous stranger saves her life . . . and gets locked up for his troubles. Can a man who kisses so lovingly and passionately really have committed the crime he's accused of? Jo isn't so sure . . . and she's determined to prove that this renegade hunter is worth fighting for.

Really enjoyed Nicolas journey cannot wait to read next book, hate cliff hangers...
Would read the next book regardless.
Would recommend these books
Jo is Nicholas's lifemate and the rest of the book follows their struggle to be together; Nicholas is on the run for killing a mortal and the rest of the hunters want him caught and Jo as far away from him as possible. Another rogue is after Jo too just to complicate things further. The relationship between Nicholas and Jo is one of the best in the series. Nicholas is such a likeable character and Jo is pretty good too. The hunters have been in these books for a while and the old characters like Marguarite, Lissianna and Thomas haven't been - maybe thats why there has been a lack of spark in the last few. This book has the best of both - the new hunters and the old faves make an appearance too. Theres also a mystery element as Nicholas past is revealed.
My only criticism for this book is the ending. I can't complain that it left it hanging because the outcome was revealed but there was a 2 week gap. I take it that this missing 2 weeks is revealed in the next book Born to Bite but it was a strange way to end - I know the outcome just not how it came about. Better than a complete cliffhanger as a i find them frustrating but it still left this book feeling a bit like part 1 of 2 - a little incomplete.
Otherwise the book was fantastic, really funny, fast-paced and thoroughly enjoyable - definitely one of my favourites!
