Product Description

Too bad curses don’t come with handbooks.

Maybe if they did London wouldn’t have Donovan, the Unseelie assassin, trying to kill her. Not that she can really blame them. Especially when the one fey willing to help her with her cursed state is a fading Sidhe Champion with dark and deadly secrets of his own. Ones that could destroy the last shred of hope for the fey’s survival.

It’s just been that kind of week.

Perfect for fans of the Mercy Thompson, the Iron Druid series, and the Fever series; this gripping story is set in a magical world that coexists with our own, filled with suspense, and breath-taking urban fantasy adventure. The Sidhe series is a smart, beautifully told story with rich language, emotional depth, and cinematic action.

Get the second book in the urban fantasy series with over 500 five-star reviews on Goodreads! Buy Remnants of Magic today!

This starts out with London looking for a Sidhe that will take her on for work in exchange for the Touch she needs to survive. She does end up capturing one, however, she does not know what a grave mistake that she made until after she returns him to Donovan and the Glamor Club. So now that the Unseelie know about the fighting she did in the collapse of the mounds and by kidnapping Keiran, a Sidhe, she also needs someone that will shield her from the Unseelie that are out to kill her. One big problem after another.

Malcolm, the Bloodhound, can feel, see, hear, and smell the magic of the Fey. He can search for them and disembowel them totally. We also learn about the Slaugh and what they can do. Things start to get a little dicey at this point. Malcolm is a ticking time bomb and Donovan does not know from one day to the next what he will do. This should be interesting.

Meanwhile, Salena introduces London to Lugh and he takes her on as his druidess and gives her the Touch as she needs it in exchange for her loyalty. Donovan tries to teach the Sidhe how to fight and defend themselves, and Lugh tries to get relics that will give the Sidhe a new place to live while fighting the fade. Lugh even teams up with Salena to find the hidden relics and to appease the beast growing inside him because of the dark magic that is poisoning him.

If you like any Urban Fantasy, this is the series you have to read. From The Touched series, The Rise of the Unseelie, to the Champion of the Sidhe, they are all a great series in and of themselves. However, if you want to read them in the suggested reading order, as others like, you should read: The Sidhe Collection 1. Scattered Magic and 2. Remnants of Magic. for the complete season 1 collection.

I happen to like them both ways. They are complete stories in their own right. I am Captivated by the way they are written and Compelled to read them all. S.A. Archer and S. Ravynheart have cornered the market on this series. There is no other team I know of that can write like this. They make you fall in love with each and every character and you feel as if you are right beside them as you read each story. This series is one that you will not want to put down. I can not wait for the second half to start and am anxiously awaiting the next book in the second half of this series.Remnants of Magic (The Sidhe Collection (Urban Fantasy))

5.0 out of 5 stars A Reading the Paranormal Recommended Read 25 April 2013

Holy wow. If I were to say that THINGS HAPPEN this time around, y'all would understand what I'm saying, right? THINGS HAPPEN! BIG THINGS! Things that are going to have a huge impact on the future of the Sidhe if I'm reading the cards right!

First and foremost, I am completely in love with the Unseelie side of the storyline (and I have been from the beginning). I love how Donovan *cares* about his earthborn Sidhe. He pushes them hard because he can't stand the thought of them being unable to defend themselves. He holds them back on the tasks he knows they're not ready for. He has plans to use them but not at the risk of their well-being. I respect that about him. He's a good leader. I do think he sometimes lets his prejudices toward the Seelie blind him, but he's trying his hardest to give those that survived and those that have been displaced by the collapse of the mounds a safe place to congregate. I flat out LIKE the guy and I'm very excited for some of the things that I see coming for him down the road.

Meanwhile, Lugh is getting his dark on. For a being who is represented by the sun and whose magic is pure light, this is not a good turn of events. However, his descent into darkness gives London a purpose she didn't have before. It refines her and weaves her firmly into the big picture of saving the Sidhe. I'm not going to lie, Dark Lugh is the creepy sort of awesome that I can totally get behind. I imagine that things are going to get very bad before it starts coming together again.

This book is chock full of threads and whispers of things to come. BIG THINGS. I'm SUPER excited to see where all these new findings take us.

4.0 out of 5 stars Book 2 thickens the plot. 12 November 2015

I strongly suggest reading Book 1 before this book, or you'll be totally lost. It's been a while since I read the first, but it didn't take long to get back into the world, plot, and fantastic characters. The books are well written and engaging.

I am not a fan of the changing POV's that simply repeat chapter after chapter of the same scenes from a different character's perspective. To me, it's a waste of pages that could be better utilized moving the plot along. But that is not enough to turn me away from the series--because it's good enough to overcome this irritation.

I will be going on to the third book.

4.0 out of 5 stars An epic tale! 3 May 2013

I love this series but hate the short, overlapping segments. I would much rather read the whole story at once...which is what I tried to do by getting the combined books. It was annoying having chapters out of sequence and overlapping. Despite that major irritation the story is engrossing and thus I give it four stars.

I really love this series. It is great for teens to adults to read since there is no sex but the story more than makes up for it, if you have to have sex in your book. I hate it when I get to the end of these stories, as it is like I am saying goodbye to my friends I made while reading these stories. There is tons of action, plots and subplots on top of suspense. It will definitely keep you guessing until the end of all of these books if and who is going to save the world for the fae or are they going to coexist with us in our world since their's was destroyed. I hope the writer's keep this series going. It has everything in it in one book. There's vampires, werewolves, changelings, dragons, evil wizards, and so on. They just rock.. I will be on the lookout for the rest of the books in this series. I just can't wait!
