About the author

I have brown eyes and red hair, some weeks redder than others! The rest is subject to change without notice. I live in Australia with my family and two cats, the cats rule.
After thirty years of working with the unemployed, coping with threats, tears and broken lives (and these were only from fellow staff), I decided it was time to make my escape. And what better place to go than the world of regency romance? I started writing this story years ago, but put it aside due to work and family commitments.
In 2013, I dusted off the foolscap pages stored under my bed, finished the story and turned it into a book. I hope you enjoy reading Regency Masquerade as much as I did while writing it.

The tale has many twists and turns and interesting secondary characters, however the leading characters make this book worth while as they have great chemistry in their conversations together and their inner thoughts which are displayed.
Frances and Richard have light hearted scenes together with tastes of witty banter between them.
The writing is quite descriptive in parts, however there could have been better descriptions of the characters to begin with, it is worth a read if you are a fan of Suzanne Enoch' s novels which have humour and suspense.

A gem of a book. Having already read some of Vera Loy’s novels, I reckoned I was in for a treat. I wasn’t wrong. This, in my opinion, is easily her best. I noticed that she received over 6000 downloads recently when Regency Masquerade was featured in a free two-day promotion. This has to be the start of something very big. The plot? I’m not going to give much away but what about this? A beautiful girl virgin, Frances Metcalf, feels forced by circumstances to masquerade as a man. Enter Lord Carleton, a man drawn to Frances as a friend, and the plot begins to thicken, especially as Frances now fancies HIM.
Scandal, betrayal, lust and heartbreak – they’re all there. To give away the ending would be a crime and I ain’t no criminal.

Don't bother with this book - either go straight to Georgette Heyer's Masqueraders or to the brilliantly funny Ridiculous by DL Carter.
