I wasn't sure about buying them, however, as some of the reviews were negative. For $80, I didn't want to be disappointed.
I decided to give these a try anyway, since I didn't see anything else I liked for around this price.
Firstly, they look great on, that much I never doubted.
I have wider feet and normally wear a 9. I read other reviews saying these were difficult to get on and wondered if I should order a larger size. I decided to get the 9 and see how they fit.
They fit perfect, true to size, and they weren't too narrow, even for my wider foot.
As for the difficulty getting them on, I have to agree, they are a little difficult. This is due to the fact that the material on the heel is very soft and buckles down when you slide your foot in. It takes a little maneuvering to grip it to pull ot up over my heel, but it can be done with some light effort. I imagine this will become easier in time, and the material on these seems like it will relax and stretch with wear.
Once on, these shoes are incredibly comfortable, and feel like they are already broken in. The soles are lightweight and super squishy, absorbing weight and impact when walking. The upper material is soft and gives slightly, ensuring nothing rubs uncomfortably on any part of my foot.
I am currently wearing them with thicker socks to give a little stretch to solve the slight difficulty getting them on. That being said, if you really loosen the laces a bit more than you normally would, it makes it a lot easier to get on.
All in all, for me, the comfort and look of these shoes make them worth the lack of ease in slipping them on.
