Product Description

"Deliciously deviant... Akin to Anne Rice's Beauty series."-- Library Journal (Starred Review)

The Red is a standalone novel of erotic fantasy from Tiffany Reisz, international bestselling author of The Bourbon Thief and the Original Sinners series.

Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother's art gallery. Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it's in the red.

Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year.

The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting...but surely her mother didn't mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger. Then again, she did promise to do anything to save The Red...

Contains mature themes.

In all my years, I have never read a story quite like this one. Firstly, I went in blind which in hindsight, wasn't such a good idea--or was it? My shock was as such that I couldn’t believe my eyes! Me, who doesn’t do fantasy or paranormal, was reading just that and had nothing to compare it with. Actually, since I don't think this standalone is comparable with any other, I didn’t know whether to carry on or DNF. But my curiosity won hands down and once I got into it, there was no stopping me. It’s neither too long nor too short and the well-balanced chapters are distinguishable scenarios. Actually, little imagination is needed for one to get the impression that they're watching a theatrical play, the chapters being acts.

It always worries me when authors are overly descriptive with their characters’ actions and surroundings in a story. More often than not, scenes read heavily and I quickly lose interest. But this was not the case because what Ms Reisz created, I loved. Her writing style has a poetic touch to it; the vocabulary--picturesque and she’s given the book a ‘romanticism’ feel to it. Therefore the scenery is easy to imagine, especially if you’re a lover of fine art. Fantastical erotism is woven into a plot set in The Red, an art gallery in dire straits. I really liked the heroine, Mona Lisa St. James. Yes, her name is a tad peculiar but her deceased mother was a passionate woman who had a great love for anything arty. Mona’s inherited her mother’s open-mindedness and is often in her thoughts. Clearly, this was one of the reasons she was mentioned so much in the book. Another one caught me off balance towards the end; a twist of sorts that I never expected, leaving me grinning from ear to ear.

In love or in lust.

When I got the email about this little beauty I was all over it like a rash, this author is one of my favorite authors of all time not just because her books are erotic but the way Tiffany writes she takes you to another world and puts you right there in the book and when you’re in some of those moments the take your breath away or either make you hold your breath.

If you’re a original sinners fan you will love this book. Have you ever wondered what the book Nora was writing was about?

Well now you have a chance to read what Nora was writing about.

And well to be honest who the hell wouldn’t want to know what she was writing.

Moana, a daughter of a I would say an Eccentric woman she was a bit out there free spirited, very forthcoming. She loved her art she lived and breathed her art gallery and there are some stories that go along with how she came up with the name of the gallery and how she obtained some art pieces

Moana’s life took a drastic change when her mother passed away from cancer. Moana had to somehow try and keep the gallery open and running as well as pay for her mother’s medical bills. Moana’s mothers dying wish was that the Gallery keep going at any cost no matter what happened or what she did or had to do the gallery must stay open, so that’s what Moana did she was going to keep the gallery open at any cost.

One night Moana was working late trying to find a way to keep the gallery going when she seen a man standing in the gallery to say she was surprised was an understatement it was late very late and the gallery had been closed for hours.

The handsome man standing in the gallery seem to know a lot not only about art but about Moana and her situation that’s when an offer was placed on the table.

I haven't read Tiffany Reisz in a while and I have missed her magical stories. She is a master of erotic writing, one of the best I've read. She can weave a mystical love story that leaves the reader hungry for more with ever chapter read.

In this story Mona wants to save her mother's art gallery. She is desperate and deep in debt. Until Malcolm walk in one night and makes her an offer. An offer that would save the gallery but she would have to give him something in return. But what she really loses is her heart. I don't want to say too much to spoil this intricately weaved story. But Malcolm stays true to his word no matter how much he tries or tests Mona.

The erotic element in this story leaves you breathless. You will want more and more like a greedy well pleasured woman. Tiffany builds characters throughout the story endearing you to them the deeper you go and more you read. I love her breaching out into more stories after her Sinners series. Her writing gets better and better. If you've never read Tiffany you need to start and this will give you a sampling of her magical stories. You will desire more from her after each book you read.

As an erotic fantasy, I loved it! If you are not looking for straight-up erotica, this will not be your cup of tea. If you have never dabbled in erotica, this book will immerse you immediately and forever. As always, our Ms. Tiffany (hope she doesn't mind if I call her that) has developed her characters and the story line through great writing, and made them all believable. One of the main things that I enjoy about her books, is that the reader feels like she knows the characters intimately. This story is not exactly "original sinners great", but then what is. However, you are involved enough to want the story to continue. and I hope somewhere done the line, it will. Thank you again Ms. Tiffany for giving us our debauchery fix with another of your great books. Keep them coming!

This was my first Tiffany Reisz book, and I had heard stories from my friends but still was not prepared. Wow. This is straight up porn in the written form, which is great. I loved it. I really enjoyed the flow of her writing as well. Her heroine Mona is a woman who is proud of who she is and will not be shamed, and I love that. And each time a painting was mentioned, I researched the work of art. Some were familiar, some were new to me. So I learned something new from this incredibly hot book. The ending kind of lost me a little, so that's why I drifted away from 5 stars. I like fantasy, but this was just a little not for me. Overall I really enjoyed the book and will be reading much more from her. 4.5 stars

Cold Shower required! Let's remember this story is penned by Nora so as an Original Sinners fan it's even more exhilerating to read. Now in true Tiffany Reisz fashion we have Steamy, sexy and you're squirming wanting more and more. I find myself clutching my kindle. This story you really don't know where it's leading you. Deathbed promises , deals ,what's real what's fantasy. You are so enraptured along with Mona trying to figure out who is the elusive Malcolm, the how's the why's. The end was great I am a closer I love a great climax and this as though it went fast all comes together . You need to remember have fun enjoy the ride and keep an open mind while reading this! Loved it

The Red is subtitled An Erotic Fantasy, and is it ever. Get ready to enter a unique erotic world as only Reisz can do it. Mona is in danger of losing her art gallery until Malcolm walks into her world and makes her an offer: Submit to him for a whole year and he will help her save her gallery. Desperate, Mona agrees, and she is brought into the art world in a unique way: Before each of Malcolm’s visits, he designates a painting that they will role play. As the fantasies become more and more complicated, Mona begins to fear she may have made a pact with the Devil.

This is an erotic romance that is heavy on the erotica. Using paintings to set up the role playing is such a fun idea, and Reisz weaves the intricate scenes into steamy hot encounters, drawing Mona into a relationship that is so compelling she becomes addicted to Malcolm. As do we. What painting will be next? Where is this all going? And how will Malcolm push Mona further in their erotic explorations with each visit? The answers to these questions become more and more delicious as you go along, the sexual tensions amping up to an orgasmic peak, and ending with satisfying aftercare. Take the journey. It’ll be so worth it.
