This was a sweet friends-to-lovers romance. Kam and Elijah have known each other since they were kids, looking out for each other during trying times in their lives. When Kam is injured during a bike accident and laid up for weeks with his injuries, Elijah steps in to help take care of him. As they spend more time with each other, both begin to see the other in a new light - one filled with sexual attraction. Now they need to determine whether to admit what they're feeling and risk their friendship, or potentially ignore the one thing that might be worth the risk.
It was a fun and sweet read, with zero angst. The previous books had more issues/barriers for the characters to get past and be together, but this one was just easy in comparison. It was still a great read, but just didn't have that bit of grit, or edge, to take it to the next level.
I did enjoy the insight into the characters from the previous books, and to have that little check in on how they were doing and what they were up to.
I still love this series and would recommend it, I just found I preferred the earlier books in the series over this one.
Friends for a very long time. Lovers - never! Until circumstance highlighted what was under their very noses. Each other. An easy, lazy read for an easy, lazy afternoon. Not a whole lot of real grit, but certainly enough sexy times to keep it interesting
I read Regret, then Reawaken and now Reclaim. I was so pleased that I read these three books together as it gives the reader a great insight to all of the various characters and their own journeys. They’re all deep, flawed and very sexy with a lot of love to give each other.
