Lost in Book World

Heart warming office romance.... 💙

I thoroughly enjoyed this sexy, heart warming romance and reading how this couple traversed the often murky waters of moving from friends to lovers! I found the authors writing easy to read the story flowed in a natural progression.

AJ is a strong and driven heroine who wants to stand on her own merits in the business world after previously being screwed over by a man in a position of power.... Adam is a swoon worthy successful businessman with a painful past who relies on AJ as his assistant to put him in his place and keep his professional life in order. They have an easygoing and amusing banter and spend copious amounts of time together.... through which a friendship has developed and underneath lies a whole lot of simmering sexual tension that remains dormant while AJ is engaged. Without giving away too much ..... the underlying attraction suddenly becomes glaringly obvious after a significant event.... and once that match is struck, it’s entirely too much to ignore.

I loved the fact that Adam and AJ had been together in a professional capacity for an extended period of time, over which they had gotten to know each other on a deeper level. They know each other’s strengths and faults, they can read each other, they can stir each other up or calm each other down ..... and it’s that deeper level friendship that fosters a truely authentic romantic connection ...... once the spark ignites ... and it’s definitely 🔥🔥🔥

The only stopping a 5 star rating is the lack of significant problem.... whilst there were complications and a few twists that were not predicted, the overall tension of the will they or won’t they end up together was somewhat anticlimactic for me! Some readers may enjoy this though :) A great read that I would recommend to any romance reader who loves when the connection is genuine and well developed.... would definitely read more from this author!

I knew I wanted to read a book featuring Adam in it after reading Iain & Holland’s story in Now or Never. But never did I think it would be this amazing.
So, so much happens in this book it’s almost like a roller coaster ride at times. But boy was it a great ride.
AJ stole my heart right from the beginning. From the disaster that was Caspar, she so deserved a love like she found with Adam. These two were remarkable together. When so much was thrown at them I was cheering for them to come out bigger and better on the other side all the way.
Stella has proven once again why I have to get my grabby hands on every new release. Now if I could be given confirmation that Cole would have his own story and it was the next book to be released I would be one happy little reader.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Complex, Steamy and just right!

Beautiful, sexy office romance.

I love the Irresistible series, it's right up there amongst my all time favourites. All my favourite tropes, so well written, chemistry is amazing - I love it all.

This is probably my favourite so far in the series - I am such a sucker for a good office romance.

While some elements are a little predictable I really enjoyed how the relationship between AJ and Adam started, how it progressed and, I think most importantly, how they worked through their issues.

I don't want to spoil anything but I just want to say YES and THANK YOU for having a female lead who doesn't just go doe-eyed for the hot hero. Also, another big yes for me is that these characters actually talk. They communicate, things get worked out, it's not over the top cheesy drama (which I like sometimes okay, just not in every damn book).

Ex Games is still my absolute favourite by Stella Rhys, but I can't wait for whatever she writes next.

Freakin’ fabulous story. One of my favourite reads of the year!

AJ Tan has been Adam Maxwell's right-hand woman for five years. However, one life-changing moment for AJ has them suddenly looking at each other in a completely non-professional way. One dramatic weekend has their dynamic changing and the sexual tension between them escalating, until the lines are so blurred that they soon find themselves redefining their relationship.

Gaaah! I just loved this story so much and I didn't want it to end! It was funny, HOT AF and tugged at the heartstrings. I want to be AJ when I grow up! She's smart, sassy and more than able to handle herself - and Adam. He has huge respect for her and recognises that he owes a lot of his success to her, even though she likes to give him a hard time. I loved the ever-shifting dynamic in their relationship, as they try to deny what's between them but seem completely incapable of sticking to their previous script. The chemistry between them was off the charts. I found Adam's dirty mouth thrilling and I absolutely loved that he wasn't shy about the things he wanted to do to AJ!! *fans self* And, she gave as good as she got! LOL. I adored that beneath Adam's cocky, uncompromising veneer beat the heart of a man who was vulnerable, loyal, protective and so caring. He carried some deep hurts and my heart melted as he shared so much of himself with AJ. I love this author's writing style. I just knew this book was going to be fabulous and she thoroughly delivered!

I was really excited that AJ and Adam would be getting a book after seeing little glimpses of their work dynamic in he last book and I was not disappointed!

They had been working together for 5 years before AJ's personal life took a nosedive and Adam stepped up and helped her out, unleashing a world of suppressed attraction and sexual tension. I loved the back and forth between AJ and Adam, they had a really fun and cheeky dynamic with AMAZING chemistry.

I was also pretty surprised with some of things in their respective backgrounds, but it definitely helped to understand their characteristics and motivations. I also really liked that this wasn't a book where a crisis was made from a misunderstanding that tore the main characters apart, but something that felt true to the characters and the story.

Really loved this book, hope there's more to come in this series!

Book 6 in the Irresistible series was absolutely amazing! This friends-to-lovers boss/assistant romance was just *chef’s kiss*.
After meeting Adam and AJ in the previous book, Now or Never, I was very intrigued by their dynamic and especially wanted to learn more about Adam and his past.
Adam was everything I love in a hero, loyal, charming, caring and possessive/protective. My heart went out to him in learning about his family/past and it made me fall little bit more in love with him. AJ was equally awesome, she was sassy, smart and determined. The chemistry between the two was explosive and I loved the multifaceted nature of their relationship; two parts of a well oiled machine dominating in the office, teasing friends with hilarious back and forth banter (with a side of steamy dirty mouthed convos) and the caring affectionate side of their relationship.
I adore Stella Rhys’ writing style and her ability to take an ordinary genre like office romance/friends to lovers and make it very captivating.

HIGHLY recommend.
