This the third book in the Montgomery Brothers trilogy and the focus of the story is Jack and Monroe. Whilst it part of a series, it can be read as a standalone book. This is the first time I’ve read any of this Author’s books and didn’t read the preceding books in the series. Whilst it would have been enjoyable to learn more about Jack’s brothers and his wives, who were all really likeable characters and with them featuring heavily in this story, it wasn’t vital to the storyline and didn’t feel like it impacted my reading experience.
This story is a combination of an office romance, fake romance and brother’s best friend romance trope. All 4 stars of this story goes to Jack and his family who were likeable awesome characters. Seriously, Jack is swoon worthy and a potential book boyfriend due to him being warm, generous, funny, sexy, loyal and chivalrous. He also loves and adores his family and as the story goes on I’m sure you’ll adore him too. The reason it lost a star was because it took me so long into the book to warm slightly to Monroe and her family. I’m glad to say that I ended up really enjoying this story and it’s characters. Read it for Jack, his Mother, his brothers and sister in laws. The warmth of that family engulfs the reader. The rest of the series is now on my TBR list so that I can revisit with these characters again. I am voluntarily reviewing an eARC and all opinions expressed in this review are unbiased and my own.
