Product Description

The New York Times bestselling author of Reaper’s Stand is back in her “uber-alpha rough world of MCs”* as one woman’s future is rocked by the man whose hardcore past could destroy her…

He never meant to hurt her.

Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.

Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.

Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

From the Trade Paperback edition.

In it's genre, this is an excellent read.

I didn't expect to like Painter as he was a bit of a non entity throughout the series, in my eyes. He was non-committal with Em and let her fall through his fingers. Then he hesitated constantly with Mel, sending her mixed messages, yet fantasising about her. However, whamm! Joanna's writing talents slam Painter to the forefront for us readers and she takes us on another raw, raunchy, meaty and engrossing journey with the Reapers.

The personal relationship between the two main charaters is seductive, yet confronting. We eventually have the opportunity to empathise with Painter, but he remains dark and dangerous. His temper and anger are balanced by his artistic talents. Mel is of course, gorgeous, but has her own challenges. They both grow a little older, wiser and Mel, particularly, stronger. She eventually finds her own niche. The subplot involving motorcycle clubs and cartels is woven seamlessly into the storyline. Altogether, it's a powerful and engaging narrative with well-defined characters. The 'voice' of the alpha bikers and the female characters sounds authentic and there are interjections of humour to lighten the story.

Congratulations Joanna for another successful work. The tidbit you gave us into the next story about Gage and Tinker was titillating...I preordered it immediately.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

The further we get into the Reaper's MC series, the better it gets. Painter and Melanie's relationship starts out lovely and sweet, with Melanie writing Painter letters while he is in prison. It soon ends up a train wreck. If you are after a neat a perfect romance look somewhere else. This is messy, emotional, hot. A relationship where two people make mistakes, sometimes huge mistakes, and that is what makes this story so great.

I loved this couple. They aren't perfect, they do stupid things. I mean did Painter really ask that question? Idiot - Lol! They also do really hot sexy things. The scenes involving paint are a big highlight.

Life continues for the Reaper's MC and we get to see inside club life, plenty of which involves illegal activities, which has a huge impact on Melanie and Painter. We also get to spend time with many of the characters we've come to know and love (or in the case of Melanie's best friend Jess - hate) over the course of the series.

Joanna's Wylde has taken it up a notch with Reaper's Fall. It was amazing!

Each of this author's biker books focuses on a certain couple. This is the story of Melanie Tucker and Levi “Painter” Brooks. For some reason, Painter is the Reaper that caught my attention the most. I've been waiting for his book, and I was not disappointed.

In order to see the full relationship of a couple we get the past and present. During this, we see bits of things that have happened in other books from different points of view. Puck and Painter are best friends so Puck shows up several times in Reaper's Fall. Puck and his book were my least favorite of this author's MC members and biker books. I like him much better after these insights and seeing how he is with Painter, Mellie and Izzy.

I really enjoyed all of the female friendship parts. Jessica and Melanie have been friends forever. Since Jessica's aunt London kind of adopted them both and she's marrying Reese, father to Kit and Emmy Hayes and president of the Reaper's MC, there's a great big family feel to everything also. The antics these girls get into made me want to giggle. Many times we only think of the hard life and sexiness aspects of biker romances so these lighter bits were nice.

Getting to really know Painter and Melanie through their ups and downs and learning their histories totally kept my attention. Yes, they made mistakes and did things I didn't like, but the outcomes were realistic, and they came through the other side smarter.

Reaper's Fall is a must read for anyone who loves bikers, bad boys or MC romances.

In previous books i wanted to kill Painter. But in reapers Fall i fell in love with him. He is a great character. He is loyal, charming, kind of dirty, and he loves hard. His story was worth reading, i'm glad that i got a chance to see inside his head and his choices. I don't want to give spoilers, but Painter is sweet, its a side that is written beautifully and i will be re-reading this again.
Mel grew up a lot through the story. She was always strong and determined, i loved that she tried so hard to be independent. She too was a worthy character. Her choices always well thought out, she didn't do impulse and she was so strong.
Together they have a crazy relationship that isn't but it is.
If love the Reapers, you will love Reapers Fall.
The journey is worthy of telling, and it is told to perfection, could not fault this book. Loved it.

3.5 stars.

Melanie the h is young in every way.
Painter the H had no idea as to what to with in his life except putting his MC first and it costs him in more ways than one.
Jail is a harsh way to any relationship.
The h border on being a total b&@$h.
The H is broken and is needing to learn to be a man in all ways.

Sweet moments, ready to slap Mel the h a few times.

A good read. Loved the rest of the series.
This one stuttered and started.
