To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I'm a recovering Roman Catholic. I have very little respect for organized relgion, which has always struck me as a scam. That said, I try not to offend religious people unless they start pushing it on me. My 13 year old self would have loved this book. My grandmother an Fr Grey would have freaked.
I read both volumes during lunch breaks at a local fast casual place. It was weirdly thrilling to be reading this in the same room as someone working through what appeared to be some kind of bible study workbook. I don't think the author always makes great arguments (some strike me as too simplistic), but they're more fun to read than the bible itself and probably way more fun than that workbook.
I'm looking forward to her take on the rest of the 'good' book.
