- Customer Reviews:
"When I first met Stephanie at a workshop five years ago, she brought energy to the course and a unique way of breaking tasks down into simpler forms. This skill is something I believe is a necessity with any therapist our clients need small, manageable, and achievable tasks. The REAL Guide to Life as a Couple does this perfectly. Stephanie takes a series of complex tasks and brings to her readers a series of comprehensible narratives along with activities which build a couple's skills and abilities to address the difficult questions. Each chapter is laid in a clear and easy to follow format. The strength of The REAL Guide as a self-help book is how Stephanie develops a couple's skills as they move through it. The use of humor also makes for easy reading."

I found this book to be extremely well written and very insightful, with expert advice on how to build, maintain and communicate in a relationship. Whether it be for those dating, a new relationship, or for those of us who have been married for many years, this book explored the topics that couples are faced with over the course of their relationship. My husband and I really enjoyed the 'Truth or Dare' exercises at the end of each chapter, as it enabled us to put into practice what we had learned in each of the chapters. I was also able to reflect on how my husband and I each receive and reciprocate love and how we both differ in these ways. This book is simply a must read for any couple!

This book organically gives you an innate understanding about yourself and your approach to your relationship. It’s a well written and a thought provoking content that helps you to self reflect on what you think needs more work or could be improved in your relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and definitely appreciated the quirky exercises in between. Highly recommended reading!

This book is witty, entertaining and practical for all types of relationships. It's also great for individual tips to prepare yourself for the next time you're in a relationship. I especially love the truth or dare section to practice the techniques from the book.
