Product Description

Patience McKinnon has never even tried to live up to her unfortunate name. Her sisters would gladly point out that she’s impetuous, fickle, and stubborn to a fault. History has taught her that she’s the only one, besides those crazy sisters, that has her best interests at heart...and she’s not about to let down her guard and let herself get hurt. She did that once...and that was more than enough. Next time, she’s fairly certain that she’d rather just shoot first and ask questions later, thank you very much!

Enter Abel Turner. The suave town attorney has had Patience McKinnon in his sights for years. Sure, he's sowed his wild oats along the way, but he always knew he'd come back to the beautiful blonde bartender that fills his dreams and drives him crazy at the same time. After all, he owes her...and he plans to rectify the bad impression he made in the past with a humdinger of a sensual night.

But that one night may just change both of their worlds...forever. Will Patience overcome her insecurities? And will Abel ever convince her to trust him again?

Join the entire town of Paradise and the intrepid McKinnon sisters in this humorous and poignant erotica romance! Standalone.

*Sarah O’Rourke’s Ready, Willing and Abel is a Suspense Romance that is Book 3 in Passion in Paradise: The Men of the McKinnon Sisters series. Patience McKinnon is a pretend wild child who is very close to her sisters and the men in their lives. Their lives have been a connected chain of violent mishaps. She has adopted a one and done interaction with the male sex until Abel Turner wants a do-over, “Okay, she was getting in way too deep here because Abel Turner was entirely to adept at saying all the things a woman wanted to hear. Somehow, someway, she needed to find a way to get him off her and out of her space.” Unfortunately he leaves a piece of himself.
Abel Turner is the Paradise town attorney working on the case involving the Sisters but more important to Abel is getting a do-over with Patience. “Between her natural beauty, sassy mouth and kickass body, there wasn’t a single quality about her that didn’t call to the inner caveman.” And this feeling had been growing. He knows how he hopes the do-over will change their lives, he just never thought of what it really brings.
Ready, Willing and Abel can be read as a standalone, which is what I did, but I think you would get more out of the stories if you read them all. Sarah O’Rourke gives us a suspense romance with funny, sassy sisters who you want to find their happily ever after. The storytelling is funny, sharp and attention holding. It is a who-done-it wrapped in major humor. You will love the cast of characters that colorfully make up Paradise. I was given this for a fair review. Give Sarah O’Rourke’s Ready, Willing and Abel a try, I know I intend to go back and read the whole Passion in Paradise: The Men of the McKinnon Sisters series.

Thanks Sarah O’Rourke & Good Writing

Let me just start of by saying that this book is my Favorite in the series...From start to end I love every minute spent reading it. I laughed and Giggled. The Banter and Dialogue were all so perfect. This book is about Patience and Abel. We finally get to see what Abel did to our girl all those years ago. We get to see him grovel for forgiveness and how Our amazing Patience gives him Hell... Ladies you gonna love watching their relationship play out... I swear this book has some of the best Banter ever. I was home alone Laughing so loud ppl must have thought I was crazy.I was absolutely dazzled by how able fought for Patience and how he maintained their relationship. I was so swooning and smiling huge when he was Wooing her. He was so accepting of every Roadblock She set in the way. Your heart will melt watchinh him overcome every obstacle. He was man that accepted his punishment and was really remorseful....This man at times was a real Saint. I adored all his Alphaness, many times Abel's actions made me think that this man was perfect match for Patience.Patience as well all know how strong and loyal she is.... I love how she fights for what's right. she loves hard and works hard....Patience is really just an all round amazing Heroine. I loved seeing her learning new lessons, it was funny as heck watching her give into Abel. boy did she put up a fight and she smiled when she lost because she knew she didn't lose she won gold.I loved seeing all the older characters I have come to love.... I really can't wait to see how Honor's book plays out...

3.0 out of 5 stars No patience for Patience 1 December 2015

I have been anxiously waiting to read the story of Patience & Abel. I have loved the character of Patience in the previous books. I thought she was comical, witty & sassy. But after reading this book, I don't like Patience very much. While I still found her funny at times, it got to be to much! I found myself skipping some parts where she was ranting or treating Abel like dirt. It was the same thing over & over. She continuously held his past over him. It's not very Christian to refuse to forgive. She was continuously verbally & physically abusive (by throwing things at him to hurt him). I do like how she finally started to grow up...but it was literally at the end of the book. I still want to continue the series. I'm hoping to read a good, strong emotional story with Honor & Zeke. There has been a great set up to make the readers want to know more about Wrath! I'm also getting ready to start The Homespun Holiday. Fingers crossed!!

Each sister's book in this series get better as they go along. This is the third book and about Patience McKinnon the foul mouth antagonistic bartender.

From the first book we knew there was history between Patience and Abel Turner. They had a one night stand 3 years ago that was a disaster and Patience has been punishing Abel for it ever since. Abel finally convinces Patience for a do over and its a doozy which gives her many of the Big O's but it also leaves her pregnant which she is none to happy with. Now Abel has until the birth to try and convince her that they do belong together and that he does love her.

Many obstacles in way.. Her temper, his psycho ex and her trust issues. The youngest sister, Honor back story has been a part of each book with bad things happened because of it which are all leading up to her book and what I hope the final conclusion.

Patience was hard to read at times.. She is one of those women that would argue with you about anything. She didnt cut poor Able any slack for a long time but Able wouldnt give up on her and even though there is almost a tragedy they have one of the best endings of the books so far (as least until Honor's which I have hopes will be an epic ending)

I absolutely love Patience! She is fire. She is fury. She is a handful of greatness. I loved her relationship with Abel. It's a love/hate/love disguised as hate triangle thing. It confusing yet so clear. I found myself laughing at the stuff Patience was either saying or throwing. I so want to either be a relative or friends with this family. "And what in the name of all creation is mango chutney?" Abel took everything in stride. He is such a great guy. Someone you fall in love with so easily. Such a really great read. I feel like I was a part of this family. I feel as if I've grown with them. It's like I know all the characters. But not as characters; but as friends. A few twist and surprises. Lots to keep you interested. I'd highly recommend.

What a delightful novel. This book is hilarious, a real laugh out loud romance. The McKinnon family is back for Abel's (Cain's twin) and Patience's (Faith's sister) story. The residents of Paradise, TN are a lively, caring, and lovely group. The plot is suspenseful and quite interesting. A very good read.
