This is so funny I never laugh so hard in my life lol thanks Robyn for making me laugh till it hurts and the story is as good as well. Essie our beautiful smart and kick ass heroine left hung island Georgie with a broken heart and swear to never returned but werewolves women are disappearing and could be dead so she is going in under cover as a model and working with the sheriff Hank the Tank Wilson who happened to be the man who broke essie's heart. Plenty of hysterical monologue from our MC and sizzling chemistry between the her and the alpha. But I reckon Dwayne the gay vampire bestfriend stole the show she/he is incorrigible and not to mention Essie psychotic granny lol.

Robyn Peterman is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. I love her writing and her quirky sense of humour. I was lucky enough to receive this book free for giving an honest review.
This is the first book in a new series and I will definitely be getting the next.
The heroine, Essie, is an agent for WTF. I know.... you've got a dirty mind! It actually stands for the Werewolf Treaty Federation.
The Hero is Hank, alpha and sheriff of Hung where Essie comes from.
But it is the backup characters who really make the story - there's Dwayne (a gay vampire), granny (who's 80 years old but looks like a young Sophia Loren) and Junior (Hank's older [?] brother.
I'll say no more because I wouldn't want to spoil it for you!
Enjoy and have a good laugh!

I thought I was getting a betrayal/makeup story, and while it had that, it took a 90 degree turn into lies, secrets, and lust with one hell of a fun gay-vamp-BFF and a sassy granny along for the ride.
A great fast paced fun romp for urban fantasy and paranormal romance fans.

I found this book really ridiculous and juvenile. The main character barely thought about anything other than sex and talked like a 15year old, even the other characters talked like they were still in high school, even a 300 year old vampire. The whole story line was just horrible.

What can I say? Robyn Peterman writes an incredibly enjoyable book, and this one is no different. Her characters, dialogue and mile a minute writing style is hilarious and offers many laugh out loud moments. I highly recommend this book.

Flipping funny as all get out. Seriously cheeky!
I loved all the characters in this story apart from the baddies of course. Which were dragons and three girls with the same name! Go figure that was a bit lame.
Cow dung! Haha! In the next book. Too funny for a name.
Read it you will be laughing!

As always with Robyn Peterman the story telling style is funny, told from a sassy female’s point of view, wit on wheels with the words and sexy.
So here we have a werewolf working for the paranormal agency as an undercover agent and she is sent back to her childhood home. Of course, they think she is a failure – well she was one when she lived there – and they don’t see why she might have changed.
She has a brilliant gay Vampire as a friend who goes everywhere with her – for his entertainment – who proves to be rather more than he appears to be on the surface when push comes to shove.
Example of dialogue:
Heroine to her boss:
‘First of all, my ass is not hairy except on a full moon and you’re smoking crack if you think I’m going back to Georgia’.
‘Am I your boss?’
‘Is this a trick question?’
‘Fine. I’ll quit. I’ll open a bakery.’
‘Excellent, I’ll let you tell the Council …’
The Council consisted of supernaturals from all sorts of species … the Vampyres were loosey goosey, the witches were nuts and the freakin’ Fairies were downright pushovers…
The Dragons.. had their own little club and a psychotic desire to rule the world.
I love everything that Robyn writes and just wish I could write like her… I love the fact that the 95 pound grandmother can out fight the heroine and still thinks she is a little girl – except in werewolf terms she is at 28. And the best friend is very well described in his clothing and attitudes and the fact that he was very rich after all he was 300.

Ready to Were

Essie has spent the last year proving herself to be one of the best new agents for the Council. But everything begins to waver when she is assigned a mission that will take her back to the hometown she ran away from.
This was an awful lot of fun!
Ready to Were is an easy read. It doesn't have particularly in-depth characters; nor is any of it's plot-twists actually twisting or surprising. But if you want a light paranormal read, with enough wit and intrigue to be very entertaining, this is it!
Essie is very confident, and determined to solve the case of the Weres missing from Hung Island. She is also determined not to have sexual relations with the sherriff and former-squeeze Hank.
I found the real reason behind their spilt no surprise at all. The progression of their relationship was also fairly predictable. But it didn't seem to matter - what happens between Essie and Hank has a feeling of inevitability about it, and it doesn't detract from them doing their job and finding the missing girls.
The rest of the characters were suitably amusing.
I think Dwayne managed to be my most and least favourite character! The gay vampire best friend was brilliantly blunt, and I loved how he would start a particular story and then stop, leaving you to wonder what the hell had happened in his long life. And not forgetting his introduction to the local drag scene.
But I found some of his emotional outbursts a little too much (OK, not some, all of them, definitely all).
Anyways, I look forward to the rest of the series. Make sure you check this short story out - it's currently free on Amazon!

I think I will read anything by this author. The sheer irreverent fun makes the words scream by. I love Essie, Granny and Dwayne. I'm sure Hank and Junior will be favourites soon.
About the book...they say you should never go back, but then if there is a dare! Essie ends up back home with her vampire BFF in tow, trying to avoid her ex and the insanity her Granny brings. Then she finds out all sorts of things about her past and decides that means the small things have to be put to one side as she needs to kick ass!
Read it! Please!! You won't regret it and you will laugh out loud!

I enjoyed the sarcasm and tongue in cheek humour, the sass, and the plot line. I didn't quite feel the connection to the main characters, Effie and Hank, though. Something in their relationship was missing for me. However, that is probably just me. I'd recommend the book, though, and I'm looking forward to more in the series as it follows Effie, Hank, Dwayne (her gay BFF vampire friend), granny and a few of the other characters we were introduced to who live in Hung.

Funny tale of were elf shifters

An hilarious, feisty female character and hot as all that Sheriff alpha were. They have history and when she is sent back to her hometown by her boss Essie must work with him to solve the problem of missing were women. Her very flamboyant, very gay vampire bff provides the entertainment. He also has secrets. 300 years worth. Light hearted, funny read that is definitely worth picking up.
