ReWrite The Rules!: Turn Your Life Around From Victim to Victorious Kindle Edition
The tragic act of suicide usually happens in isolation, away from the judging eyes of family or friends of the victim. It is the last answer for the sufferer who’s only wish is to be rid of the pain of constant anxiety and depression.
With over 800,000 people worldwide dying each year and the numbers beginning to increase again it is believed that 20 times that number are contemplating suicide every year. In our era of understanding mental illness, more focus is being brought onto the issue.
ReWrite The Rules has been drawn from the experiences of the author who has written this book as a reference to help the average sufferer with suicidal tendencies, whether they are in their tender teenage years but also as guardians and adults.
The book also tackles the problems and effects of school yard bullying, spiteful acts of revenge and people suffering from a broken heart. It introduces templates to the reader for pro-active strategies to re-take control of their lives.
David Gillman is a master life coach and NLP practitioner. The author has written this book with the intention that it is readily accessible in any library, or computer for “a rainy day”.
The author has drawn upon his experiences to add weight and relevance to the common problems that many people face around the world.
Initially self-taught through necessity, his skills as a life coach have been honed through various study and classes. Today he runs his own coaching practice Keystone To Success Life Coaching.
ReWrite The Rules will show you how to:
• Coach yourself out of a seemingly hopeless situation, whether you are still at school or well past your school years:
• Set out strategies to change your mindset from helplessness to triumph:
• ReWrite The Rules of your life so you can live on your terms and not at the mercy of others.

I’ll be honest straight up, I know the author of this book
I purchased the book to support the author
I read the book because I was curious about what he had to say
These types of books, self-help books are not really my cup of tea and not generally something I would pick up. I respect people who read them and use them, I’m just not usually one of them.
I thought Dave did a great job of incorporating his message by using his own experiences. By using these experiences he easily set the stage for how he turned his life towards who he wanted to be and the tools used, and then gave the tools to the reader to start their own journey. It made it easier to understand the steps and why they were taken.
It was hard reading about his school experiences. I think the saying is correct that you never know what someone else is going through, so it was also hard learning that his depression was so bad and the behaviour of some of the other students and teachers created a world for him that he actually thought about leaving. The steps he took to change that around were well thought out and evolved throughout the book as he evolved as the new David Gillman.
There are no quick and easy fixes. Work was required over years to get to where he was happy with the person he was. Ideas were explored and courage shown to face his fears and pursue his dreams. I liked that he didn’t back away from the mistakes he made either during his path to where he is now, they were laid out and discussed to show just why and how they were unproductive.
All in all a good read. I’m glad I read it.
