Product Description

In this novella of the Holy Grail from New York Times bestselling author Jo Beverley, one woman must step forward to restore peace to medieval England...

As the seventh child in her family, Sister Gledys was given to the Church at birth. She has spent all of her eighteen years in the Rosewell Nunnery, living a quiet, regimented life behind its walls. But lately, her mind has been wandering. She has visions of a gallant knight battling a massive foe. She longs to see his face and speak to him but she cannot…

As a young boy, Michael de Lourey was locked away in a monastery by his mother. Not being the oldest in his family, he would not inherit land. His only options are to be a monk or a knight. Michael left the monastery at twelve and has grown into a skilled fighter, but the chaste life of a knight may be taking its toll on him. Whenever he fights, he keeps seeing a beautiful and silent woman in a green dress and white veil. He doesn’t dare mention her to anyone for fear of sounding crazy.

But there’s nothing crazy about their visions. It’s as though some great power is drawing them together…

2.0 out of 5 stars A lesser effort 31 October 2016

I am biased against magcal elements intruding oh-so-conveniently into what seemed like a pretty good historical romance. This has the expected JoBev period details and history to recommend it, however, so if handy deus ex machina doesn't bother you, you should find this enjoyable.
3.0 out of 5 stars Truly different for me. A fairy tale. 31 March 2014

Short, putting a long story into a small amount of time. This was a different love story for me, coming from Jo Beverly. I have not had the opportunity to read any fairy tales by her, but I wanted to read this one. The hero fell right into believing the heroine and followed her thru this tale. From seeing visions of her long before he meets her as well as her having visions of him. The raven guides her to her hero and rose helps him to believe in her. Together they save the evil from spreading to future generations by coming together as lovers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Fantasy of Sorts 7 December 2014

I just found this to be too much fantasy with very little substance. I guess I'm just too old for fairytales. Nothing against Jo Beverley, but I was sorry I wasted my time reading it.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not one of my favorites! 23 May 2014

Not a favorite of medieval romances or novellas, but I bought it because it was Jo Beverley! It was okay but didn't have her usual developed characters. This is why I don't normally buy novellas!
