Ramsay: A Sign of Love Novel MP3 CD – Unabridged, 27 December 2016
Enhance your purchase
Lydia De Havilland is shocked when Brogan Ramsay suddenly reappears in her life. Several years before, Brogan was the son of her family's gardener, and the boy she hurt and betrayed. But Brogan is no longer the quiet, sensitive boy she remembers. Now he's a man - gorgeous, powerful, and seeking vengeance.
Brogan Ramsay can't let go of the memory of Lydia tricking him cruelly, leaving his heart shattered and his family penniless. And now he's back to destroy her family the way his was destroyed. There's only one problem: The girl who wounded him so badly years ago is now a woman who still has the power to render him breathless.
Ramsay is a story of betrayal and wrath, of the strength of regret and the power of forgiveness. It is the story of the thin veil between love and hate and how more often than not, when we seek to inflict pain on others, the heart we wound is our own.

Several years later they meet again and Brogan wants revenge on the family who did him wrong. However their feelings for each other are still very much present. Brogan has to make decisions and decide if he wants to continue with his revenge or forgive Lydia for what happened years ago. "She seemed to understand me in a way no other woman ever had, and it made me feel...both safe and vastly unsafe in the same breath."
Brogan and Lydia were perfect for each other. The moment they were reunited you could feel the chemistry between them. They were both hesitant because they both were hurt in the past. To move on they had to find a way to forgive each other. Both Brogan and Lydia did a lot of growing up in the years they were seperated. Brogan was still very loyal to the people he loved and even though he was planning revenge he was helping people in need in the meanwhile. Lydia did a lot of growing up too, and I loved the person she became. She was strong, honest and independent.
I loved the scenes they were together and got to know each other again. It wasn't easy for either of them to open up about their pasts. The writing was amazing and the story had a great pace. 5 perfectly aligned stars.
“I love you. That’s my truth. It’s always been my truth.” (Ramsay)
Lydia was Brogan Ramsay's 'princess' and seemingly unrequited love - she was the spoiled, flirty and emotionally immature daughter of a wealthy man and Brogan was the lowly gardener's son. He saw the world in numbers, but people didn't understand or accept him. His life was moulded by courage, anger and despair. Pushing the boundaries, he dared to hope. A foolish move, because it cost Brogan and his family everything. The resulting pain and humiliation transformed him and he swore he would never forget.
Time passes and circumstances change dramatically. Lydia now works to save her father's legacy and sacrifices much in the process. She has matured and altered her outlook, but she has her secrets. When she sees Brogan again her feelings are stirred. She also feels regret, but realises he certainly hasn't forgotten how deeply she hurt him. He has changed, too. Now a powerful man of means, he intends to toy with her and enact his revenge for the past misery caused to him and his family. But...
'Ramsay' was an intense read because you ache for all the pain - the immaturity of youth, wrong choices, lost love, time wasted and regret. This is a real page turning love story that will leave you gasping. It's a wonderfully raw, but tender story of growth, love and forgiveness. Oh, and the sensual chemistry is electric (watch out for their card game, for example.)
I like Brogan & Lydia however, my frustration over their behaviour and the type of drama that formed because of it was not particularly enjoyable to me. This one is not awfully bad but I didn't enjoy reading it.
Loved that Brogan was Irish....anyone else picturing Jamie Dornan while reading this....or is that just me!!

Brogan and Lydia were just kids when they gave themselves to one another. But Lydia broke Brogan’s heart. Brogan disappeared and comes back into Lydia’s life seven years later. The intense, quiet, beautiful young man Lydia remembers is still beautiful, but harder, made stern by the hardships he’s suffered and the things he had to do to make a success of his life.
“I needed to break her like she’d broken me and finally be rid of her.”
Brogan is bent on revenge on the family that ruined his, and to break the hold that Lydia has on him. However, he is unprepared for the reality of Lydia when he finally meets her again, face to face.
“Just sitting in the same room as her made me hungry in that same desperate way I’d felt when I could never get enough food, never feel the satisfaction of a full belly.”
This is a stunning, second chance romance, pitted with misunderstandings and secrets, but full of yearning and want. The connection between Brogan and Lydia is tangible. And, oh, the angst and the pain!
“Something in him had called to me, something about him had spoken to my heart in a way no one had before or since.”
I just LOVED this novel! The writing was fluid and lyrical; such gorgeous words and imagery strung together to make a compelling story. Thoroughly recommend!
I have to admit that I didn't like Lydia to start with, I thought she was very self absorbed but she grew on me as we got to know more about her. You can't help but love Brogan with his troubles and hard up bringing.
Lots happen in this book and just when you think things can't get any worse - Bang another thing rips your heart to shreds.
Very good read.
Lindo! Super recomendo!
I actually loved all the characters especially Fionn (Brogan's Best friend) Eileen (Brogan's sister). Fionn was so entertaining, between his hilarious Irish slang and the way he interacted with everyone, I simply loved him. Maybe with some luck Mia will write a story for him!! Mia has a way of making you feel like you're in the story, feeling all emotions!! I loved every single page and wished it never had to end!!!! Another 5 star book by the amazing Mia Sheridan!!!
What an emotional, heart wrenching, beautiful story, one that is so full of mis-understandings and trust issues.
Two people who shouldn't want the same thing, but do. Two people from different side of the tracks that wouldn't work, but does. The very thin line between love and hate, can bring such pleasure bit also so much pain.
We meet the two sweet innocent kids ass they begin their transition into adulthood.
Brogan Ramsey and Lydia De Havilland, he works for her family, but has a hidden talent that her father sees, she is the daughter who really likes the boy.
Her brother, Stuart, a pompous man who thinks he is so much better than anyone else. He dfelt that no one was good enough for Lydia.
Lydia never felt that she was better than anyone, she was a good hearted lady, who through a misunderstanding caused the boy she like to loose his job and home.
We catch up with them 7 years later, with Ramsey hell bent on revenge.
As we go through a myriad of emotions, and feeling as they come face to face with their pasts.
They both still have feelings, and unfinished business and as they unravel through the truths and lies, we learn how they each dealt with their feelings, how they tried to avenge their guilt and move on!
With their fortunes reversed we see them both deal with their lives, and becoming re acquainted.
My heart was torn out, ripped to shreds, and slowly returned to its former glory as their relationship.
Eileen and Fionn were great friends, and i loved learning the Irish slang, made me chuckle more than once!
Lydia has some dreadful old high school friends, who loved to humiliate people, especially if they were experiencing hard times, and were beneath them. BUT Lydia was a beautiful strong compassionate lady, who rose above their humiliation, and she more than deserved to find happiness. Brogan the handsome hard working man, who wanted revenge, soon realised what the truth was about their situation. He did have compassion.
We endured Lydia and Brogan discovering their true feelings, including all the hurt and deceit that they both faced.
This was a roller coaster of a ride, with a lovely ending.
