Product Description

Lydia De Havilland is shocked when Brogan Ramsay suddenly reappears in her life. Several years before, Brogan was the son of her family's gardener, and the boy she hurt and betrayed. But Brogan is no longer the quiet, sensitive boy she remembers. Now he's a man—gorgeous, powerful . . . and seeking vengeance.

Brogan Ramsay can't let go of the memory of Lydia tricking him cruelly, leaving his heart shattered and his family penniless. And now he's back to destroy her family the way his was destroyed. There's only one problem . . . the girl who wounded him so badly years ago is now a woman who still has the power to render him breathless.

Ramsay is the story of betrayal and wrath, of the strength of regret and the power of forgiveness. It is the story of the thin veil between love and hate, and how more often than not, when we seek to inflict pain on others, the heart we wound is our own.

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY ARIES. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Mia Sheridan is one of my favourite authors and I will probably read every book she writes. Ramsay is another great addition to her Sign of Love series. It started really strong and the prologue was heartbreaking. Brogan was such a sensitive and unique character and very loyal and protective of his family. He had a lot on his plate and took huge responsibility by taking care of his family. Lydia was a spoiled rich girl who didn't really understand how to express her feelings. This resulted in such a heartbreaking scene!
Several years later they meet again and Brogan wants revenge on the family who did him wrong. However their feelings for each other are still very much present. Brogan has to make decisions and decide if he wants to continue with his revenge or forgive Lydia for what happened years ago. "She seemed to understand me in a way no other woman ever had, and it made me feel...both safe and vastly unsafe in the same breath."
Brogan and Lydia were perfect for each other. The moment they were reunited you could feel the chemistry between them. They were both hesitant because they both were hurt in the past. To move on they had to find a way to forgive each other. Both Brogan and Lydia did a lot of growing up in the years they were seperated. Brogan was still very loyal to the people he loved and even though he was planning revenge he was helping people in need in the meanwhile. Lydia did a lot of growing up too, and I loved the person she became. She was strong, honest and independent.
I loved the scenes they were together and got to know each other again. It wasn't easy for either of them to open up about their pasts. The writing was amazing and the story had a great pace. 5 perfectly aligned stars.

'Ramsay 'is another Mia Sheridan story that has lodged itself in my memory. I feel the flavour is a little less like her other books. There is a touch of humour, but she is a master of writing about love and tragedy, and 'Ramsay' is no exception.
“I love you. That’s my truth. It’s always been my truth.” (Ramsay)
The past...
Lydia was Brogan Ramsay's 'princess' and seemingly unrequited love - she was the spoiled, flirty and emotionally immature daughter of a wealthy man and Brogan was the lowly gardener's son. He saw the world in numbers, but people didn't understand or accept him. His life was moulded by courage, anger and despair. Pushing the boundaries, he dared to hope. A foolish move, because it cost Brogan and his family everything. The resulting pain and humiliation transformed him and he swore he would never forget.
The present...
Time passes and circumstances change dramatically. Lydia now works to save her father's legacy and sacrifices much in the process. She has matured and altered her outlook, but she has her secrets. When she sees Brogan again her feelings are stirred. She also feels regret, but realises he certainly hasn't forgotten how deeply she hurt him. He has changed, too. Now a powerful man of means, he intends to toy with her and enact his revenge for the past misery caused to him and his family. But...
'Ramsay' was an intense read because you ache for all the pain - the immaturity of youth, wrong choices, lost love, time wasted and regret. This is a real page turning love story that will leave you gasping. It's a wonderfully raw, but tender story of growth, love and forgiveness. Oh, and the sensual chemistry is electric (watch out for their card game, for example.)

I truly respect Mia Sheridan's talent & I enjoyed reading her other books, unfortunately not this one.
I like Brogan & Lydia however, my frustration over their behaviour and the type of drama that formed because of it was not particularly enjoyable to me. This one is not awfully bad but I didn't enjoy reading it.

A beautiful second chance story of love, betrayal, trust and forgiveness. I loved Brogan, he was absolutely swoon worthy, and what he went through for his family to keep them fed and alive was absolutely heartbreaking! My heart broke for him! And Lydia, his Mo Chroi, was a heroine that started kinda snarky for my liking, but as the story progressed, I could see the reasons for her behaviour. I really liked that Brogan and Lydia admitted very early in the story how they felt about each other and there was time for their relationship to develop. I would have to say though that the side characters Fionn and Eileen really gave the book the oomph factor with their banter!! Mia Sheridan is truly an amazing story teller with her beautiful prose and although this isn't my favourite book of hers, I still did enjoy it! 3.5 mo chroi stars!!
