Kyl has a great storytelling style and a wonderful story to tell. This book has made me really think about the way I raise my own children, as well as the way I interact with others.

Kyl's descriptions of their journey from childhood to meeting Brent to the challenges that they faced advocating for gender creative parenting (GCP) are honest, intelligent and filled with love for Zoomer. I have always had passion for raising my children to be who they are without boxing them into society's categories and reading Raising Them has given me so much more courage and determination to do more. The book is both a beautifully told autobiography and a well referenced resource.
I love the idea of GCP and would wholeheartedly do it with my next child if I can ever convince my husband to get on board with it. Thank you Kyl for your insight, inspiration and encouragement to raise our kids in a way free of gender binary and stereotypes.
