Product Description

An abandoned dog. A homeless veteran. A woman on the run. Her life in jeopardy.

Sisters Dawn and Sunny stood together through the trauma of their childhoods and the fame they gained from Dawn's songwriting and Sunny's magical voice. But when Sunny marries the son of a cult leader, Dawn's life is in jeopardy. Taking on the identity of Raine, she goes to ground in a small Wisconsin town with a handsome innkeeper whose upbeat temperament is the antidote to her pain.

Chuck's always been a good-time guy, and now that he's come up with a plan to help the town, no one in Trouble Bay thinks he's up to the hard work. Just as well that he has a new guest to deal with. A woman with secrets. A woman who who makes his heart beat faster. A woman in danger.

**This stand-alone book also has a woman who thought she married a prince but he turned into a snake, and so much more. It's a powerful and emotional story of love, friendship, dogs, music, and—maybe—murder.

4.0 out of 5 stars I usually gravitate towards sci-fi/fantasy so this was a nice bit of a change 10 March 2017

This was a well thought out and enjoyable book. I usually gravitate towards sci-fi/fantasy so this was a nice bit of a change. I did enjoy it and will re read it, which for me kinda says it all. I did receive a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The ONLY reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 is that I found myself ok to put it down to accomplish other things... like dishes. :) I usually reserve those 5 stars for the books that I stay up all night reading/can't put down books. But I still enjoyed this book and will be looking at the other books in the series as this was my first book in the series and by this author. So yes, I would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Raining Love & Murder 14 June 2016
By Sue P - Published on
In Raining Love & Murder, Edie Ramer drew me in quickly with a cast of dynamic characters and a plot that hooked me! Dawn is the younger sister, but she's always been the stronger one. When she finds out her life is in danger from the cult family her sister has married into, Dawn leaves on the run and finds herself in Trouble Bay. She finds herself staying at the B & B run by Chuck. Chuck is trying to change things and move forward in life and business, but small town memories make it difficult for him. Surprisingly, his new guest has more faith in him than the townspeople. The same guest who seems to be hiding something, and who he also finds himself very attracted to. The attraction is mutual, but Dawn has too much going on to risk a relationship. She has found and ally is Chuck though, and soon the small town of Trouble Bay starts to feel more and more like home. As their attractions builds, slowly does the trust also, but can they help each other?

Todd is a homeless vet who slowly befriends a homeless dog. That dog is one of the best things that's happened to Todd...and when they also find themselves in Trouble Bay with an unexpected inheritance, Todd just might be able to start healing.

Raining Love & Murder has a few strong plot lines, and Edie writes them seamlessly so that they blend together perfectly and converge in a realistic, heart aching way. I loved this story. I would say there are three main characters in Raining Love & Murder...Dawn, Chuck and Todd. They all grow so much and I enjoyed being part of their journey. They are all strong, flawed, powerful characters whose experiences and beings evoke a lot of feelings. My absolute favorite was Todd. Edie writes all of the characters with feeling and believability, but there was something about Todd that just pulled at every heart string I have. I felt for him, hoped for him, ached for him and loved him! He felt so real and Edie's portrayal of this vet felt believable.

There are also strong secondary characters who are integral parts of the story. I liked them and what they brought to the plot. Trouble Bay is not perfect either, and I liked how Edie showed the good and bad of small town living.

Raining Love & Murder has good and bad, and real life situations that few people will experience. I liked how Edie brought these to life. Raining Love & Murder is very well written and was easy to become absorbed in. It was a roller coaster of emotions, dangers, love, and new beginnings. I said it already but I'll say it again Raining Love & Murder was fantastic and I loved it! I'd highly recommend Raining Love & Murder to any romance reader!

I received a free copy for an honest review.

4.0 out of 5 stars I feel like I did and wanted his story 30 June 2016

Did I remember Chuck from that previous book I read? Hmm, dunno, BUT, I feel like I did and wanted his story. Lol, I sure hope I did like him if he made a fast appearance earlier then.

You do not have to have read the previous books to read this one. It takes place in the same town, but different stories.

Chuck was a sweetie. He had been the easy going flirt, and the town did only see him as that. Which was a shame cos he is trying to change in this one (well not the flirting, but other things.) And even if everyone is protective of him, they were so holding him back.

Raine is on the run. Her sister married an ass, and with ass, I mean he, I just wanted to hit him and his dad. What a bunch of creeps. No wonder Raine, or Dawn as her name was, runs away to this little town. There lies the suspense. Will someone come after her and why? She is also a famous song writer, in the shadow of her singing sister.

There is also a second shorter story that pulled on the heart strings. A veteran called Todd lives on the street and he befriends a dog. It is as much the dog's story and I was so happy that these two met cos they healed each other. Todd needed something to live for, and so did the dog. It all comes together in the end too, the stories do connect.

It was a romantic story, with bits of suspense and happy endings all around.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love & Murder Series Book Four 26 June 2016

Raining Love & Murder by Edie Ramer
Love & Murder Series Book Four
Chuck Pascal finally has an idea of what to do with his life. He wants to open an art mart. A place for local artists to display and sell their work. It will help the town and the artists. one believes that Chuck is capable of running a business. He's always been the fun loving guy.

Raine Copperfield aka Dawn Keighly overheard something and had to run away. Leave California and her sister behind. Where better to hide with her new identity then a small town in Wisconsin that is quiet in the winter?

I love this series and this story. It's serious and yet humorous. It has different POVs in it, including one from a homeless dog and veteran. The books are all stand-alone but if you enjoy series you'll want to read the previous books—two and three have a bit more background on Chuck's family.
**Sensual content and language

5.0 out of 5 stars I really loved this book 20 February 2017

I really loved this book. Edie Ramer is a great author. This is book 4 in the Love and Murder series but the first that I have read. This book has wonderful characters and not just the main couple. These are people you can really get to love and want them to find peace and happiness. Besides great people this book has an amazing dog to love. I have already bought book 1 in the series and I am looking forward to reading it.
By the way, you don't have to have read the series in order. The book is complete in itself. I received a complimentary copy of this book for a fair and honest review and was not compensated in any way
