Designed to uplift. Made of a single sturdy piece of aluminum, mStand transforms your laptop into a stylish workstation with its elegant curves and silver-anodized finish. The single piece design solidly holds a laptop while the aluminum panel acts a heat sink to keep the laptop cool. A cable hole in the back of the stand routes wires to reduce clutter. Ergonomics Long-term use of a laptop as the main computing device can strain the body as the user hunches down to see the screen and type. mStand raises the screen 5.9 inches (150 mm) to meet the user's eye level, thus promoting better posture, while its tilt design brings the screen closer for easier viewing. With an external keyboard andmouse, mStand creates an ideal ergonomic desktop setup for laptop users. Compatible with all sizes of Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro. Also fits most 14" standard PC and 15" widescreen PC with depths not more than 10.4 inches.

-Solid aluminium build quality.
-Reasonable amount of flex and it remains stable under use. (For my 13" touchbar MBP anyways)
-Well padded to protect your laptop while it's seated.
-Matches Apple's standard Mac silver anodised colour well.
-Rain Design logo is a cut out and not a polished metal insert like on modern Macs
-Doesnt quite match the display height of any Apple desktop, props the MacBook screen to about 1cm taller than my 27" 5K iMac, and about 4cm taller than my 27" Thunderbolt Display.
-More expensive than a pile of old textbooks

Update: What I can describe as the front pads that protect the laptop from rubbing/bumping the front aluminum have started to come away and loosen. I'm not sure if that's normal but it's now effecting my ability to place the laptop down and not worry that I will damage it. Will try and reach out to resolve the problem.
Update 2: After my attempts to contact firstname.lastname@example.org in regards to any sort of support on the issue I am having, I have not received a single reply from their customer care department. It looks like after the product is shipped, the warranty might as well be non existent.
Given this, I would usually give the product a five star rating, but marked it down on this occasion for one reason only: the dimensions given on the web page say that it is bigger than it actually is...
If you are looking at this for a 15" laptop, I'd suggest it would be fine, go for it, but if (like me) you are looking at it for a 17" laptop, beware! the front to back dimension of the angled plate that your laptop sits on is in reality less than advertised on the webpage, meaning that my laptop kept tipping and falling off the back of the stand...
So, a good design and beautifully solid materials - so a notional five stars for anything up to 15" laptops, but I'd suggest avoid for anything bigger.
There are rubber feet on the stand to prevent it from scratching your MacBook. Unfortunately, the height and angle are fixed, so cannot be adjusted. I can also confront that it holds the 12" MacBook perfectly, too. Highly recommended if you need a quality stand and are okay with the non-adjustable positions. I personally am very happy with my purchase.
Expensive, but looks good and of course holds everything from tablet, macbook to a thinkpad ;)
The void underneath the stand is also useful for storing notebooks etc when not using them, keeping the desk a bit tidier.
It's currently holding my Gold Acer Chromebook 14".
Only thing I would say is that I feel like the bottom of my MacBook is getting friction when lifting/placing the MacBook. Could do with the more decent, further covering dampening.
