There was honestly so much I didn't like in this or didn't agree with. The writing is occasionally a bit unprofessional and off topic, it's actually kind of charming and surprising and funny in a Texan sort of way. It made me feel like he was telling me his truth...and he doesn't care what we think of it. Which is exactly what brought me here.
One major problem I do have is the author's inability to notice why we have moralism in society and our lives in the first place. A key factor if we're going to let it go. A lot of us are damaged and inhibited from the effects of others doing whatever they want. Or the guilt from the results of us doing this in our lives and it's effect on others - I kind of spent a bit of time arguing with the book and getting defensive as I was reading it.
Why do I strongly recommend reading it then? It's woken me up in so many ways. The book is so insightful and on point, occasionally jaw droppingly so. It has lessons I'm doing my best to apply in my own life. Importantly, I know now why I have so many mystery aches and pains and physical problems and the other harms from a lifetime of withholding.
