Walter Mosley is one of my favorite writers. I love his "Easy Rawlins" series, and i own most of his books in hardcover.
This book, "RL's Dream," was an unexpected pleasure, because I did not know that "RL' was the legendary bluesman, Robert Johnson. I bought the book just because I like Mister Mosley's writing.
5.0 out of 5 starsThe book was sad and enlightening. A lot of love and caring for each other.

I loved the interactions between the characters, especially Soupspoon and Kiki. Even though Kiki had a lot of issues, she still had a lot of love and compassion for people. I especially felt a lot of compassion and love for Soupspoon who could see through all the angry and hurt Kiki was going through and not take advantage of her when she was at her lowest. However, I was kind of disappointed that Soupspoon had to die alone.
