Such great value for money
I don’t shy away from spending more money to get a quality product. I looked at getting the Garmin scale because hubby, myself, and our oldest all have Garmin watches. But almost $300 was a lot when I didn’t know if it would even be worth it. Long story short, I’m super happy I went with the cheaper option! I read a lot of positive reviews about this scale, and now I’m writing my own. Positives: đŸ’„ It tells me all the data I really need đŸ’„ tracks it all for me đŸ’„ integrates into my apple Heath which talks to my Noom app đŸ’„ I’m super glad I got the rechargeable one to not be adding more batteries to landfill. đŸ’„ also tracks the data for my hubby and kids in an easy to use app. Negatives: đŸ’„ Only stores 20 readings before it starts deleting, so if you have a family, make sure they’re syncing regularly. đŸ’„ Doesn’t talk to my Garmin app. Not a deal breaker but a bit annoying since I have most everything in there. đŸ’„ Doesn’t do complete measurements for youth - likely due to the age - but I find that kind of arbitrary. If it’s accurate for adults why wouldn’t it be for kids? đŸ’„ Documentation/quick start guide wasn’t quite as good as I think it should have been. It missed some important things that would have been helpful before that I found out later by going through the faq. And one other thing to note that I’m not sure if it’s common across all Bluetooth scales is that it wasn’t clear that best practice is to have ONE ACCOUNT with multiple users. If you have multiple accounts, the syncing doesn’t play nice unless you always have your phone with you. It’s fine for our family but not likely ideal if it’s a shared scale with roommates or something.

    This is my 2nd Renpho smart scale. My last one was damaged during a recent bathroom leak but because of its previous performance and reliability, I had no hesitation to buy another one. This time, this unit is rechargeable via USB which means I don’t have to worry about batteries. It still provides 13 body composition analysis and works well. Once paired via the Renpho app, it tracks your body weight and other data virtually seamlessly. You simply launch the app, select the scale and step on the scale. Within 15 seconds, It does its magic and records all relevant measurements and saves them for your records and future tracking. It also syncs with your iPhone health app. Overall, it’s a fantastic body scale which has great features, reliability and seamless synching at a good price. Well recommended.

    I bought these scales to replace a much higher cost name brand set of scales which had broken after years of service. My previous scales were good, but I found the readings were very inconsistent and would change depending on time of day and even at times measuring within minutes of the previous one. I used to weigh multiple times and select the measurements which seemed the most reasonable. It had no Bluetooth, so I had to manually record the values onto a chart I created.

    I don't know how accurate these new scales are, but they give very consistent readings which I think are a huge improvement over the previous scales. I don't know if the readings are exactly correct, but I can confidently use them as a baseline to see any improvements in my health. I have weighed multiple times close together and hours later and the figures reported are very similar to each other. The old scales could be different by a few percent on BFP and muscle percentage at times.

    The bluetooth feature is great, I stand on the scales weigh myself, open the app and connect via bluetooth and I have all the measurements available in my phone.

    The only issue I had is I couldn't work out how to pair the scales to my phone easily. It took me a few goes to work it out. Once I had though it is very easy and has worked every time. I also found I had to play with the app for awhile to work out where everything is. I don't think the app is very intuitive, but once I worked it out it was very easy to use.

    Now I know how it works, I will invest in the measuring tape as well.

    I was quite impressed with these scales, you just need to make sure you remain standing on them until it's finished switching through the different measurements and then it turns itself off.
    The information gets sent through to the app even if your phone isn't in the same room. I found I could leave my phone in the bedroom, and have the scales in the bathroom (3-4 metres + walls in-between) and the info would upload to the app even if it wasn't open on my phone. The app is great with comparisons... my only quibble is that I'd like to know how it calculates the muscle/fat percentages, but that might be me just not reading through info on the app 😉
    Since it's currently just me using the scales, I haven't set up a second person, so can't comment on that option, but with just one person, there's no need to calibrate, you can just stand on the scales when they're in sleep mode and they automatically turn on and measure.

    I started a weight loss journey in April 2020. I signed up for Noom on a trial and was immediately drawn to being able to use an app to help me with that journey.

    The problem was, I had a 20 year old scale with digital display that gave me a different reading every time I stepped on it.

    I was drawn to this Renpho scale by its excellent reviews and the scale does not disappoint. I especially appreciate the fact that if I take one reading followed by another, it measures the exact same weight

    Being rechargeable is a huge bonus. I try to get away from anything that uses traditional batteries now.

    The Bluetooth functionality and excellent app are some of the biggest tools in my weight loss strategies (I am currently down 57 lbs). I look forward to weighing-in every morning. I especially appreciate how the many metrics it captures sync with Apple Health which ultimately syncs with Noom. Before I had to manually enter my weight every day.

    This also means that the daily readings also sync with Under Armour’s “MyFitnessPal” app which I plan to use when my Noom subscription expires.

    I get a lot of people asking me how I was able to lose the weight and I credit Noom, but I also send a link to this scale with all those who ask.

    The scale itself is an amazing value when you compare pricing to similar tools on the market (and I paid $18 more than I could pay today).

    Back to the app. Not only does it measure weight but other important metrics like Fat % and BMI. It also tracks your history and gives guidelines between normal, overweight and obese. The tool has helped me establish goals in a lot of categories.

    I’d give this scale more than 5 stars if I could.
