Product description
Size:8-Pack
The Size 13 Hearing Aid Batteries, 8 Count, from Rayovac is the worlds longest-lasting mercury-free hearing aid battery and is recommended by 8 of 10 hearing health professionals. Its 2nd generation, mercury-free formula has higher voltage for quick startup while superior cell design resists swelling and leakage to provide optimal performance and greater consistency. The tab is the longest available to make it easy to remove the battery from the package and insert it into the device. The perforated package allows the dial to be removed for convenient transport. The environmentally friendly package is made with recycled or recyclable materials. Remember to let your hearing aid batteries sit un-tabbed for one minute before putting them into your hearing aid. Giving the battery that extra minute allows air to enter and activate your battery.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I've tried many different manufacturers of #13 batteries in my hearing aids and these seem to land somewhere in the upper middle in terms of longevity. I've used 3 pair so far and get about 105 hours per pair - which for me lasts 7-days. As is recommended, I air expose the batteries for several minutes before inserting. And, I DON'T stream or use Bluetooth. Also, as with other brands I've used, don't be tempted to bargain-purchase in bulk if you can't use the batteries within 6-months. All brands I've tried so far lose their charge over time, even if left in a sealed package.
Unlike other hearing aid batteries I have used, these don't last even a week. And, each side "dies" at different times. The most recent exp. my left battery died after 3 days. My previous experience was they both typically die at about the same time. I usually buy them through my audiologist but decided to try these to avoid a trip to their office. Very disappointing. Next time I will buy through the audiologist.
The brand name is a good one, but I only ordered a few because I was concerned about expiration. Don't bother ordering here. Spend more, and get reliable batteries if you are using them in your hearing aids. Out of 12 batteries, only 5 were good. Very disappointing.
