Lottie is a stripper at Smithie’s. When Smithie gets a letter threatening Lottie, he decides to go Commando and hired Hawk Delgado (from Mystery Man) and his team of badass commandos to protect Lottie and neutralize the threat. Lottie’s bodyguard is Mo. Since KA is the Queen of the Alpha Male - Mo is definitely all alpha. Mo is definitely hot. Mo is definitely bad ass. Mo is also sweet, loves his mama and affectionately tolerates his sisters and their brand of of zany.
So a few years have passed in the lives of the Dream Man couples, the Rock Chick couples and even in the Chaos brotherhood. Marriages, kids, life moves forward yet every one of these beloved characters is still as alpha as ever. Lottie (Jet’s sister) is still headlining at Smithie’s strip club, but this is a more mature Lottie who, as always, knows what she wants and goes after it, even if that something is unconventional. What she really wants is a man to fall in love with, have some kids, and live the life that her sister and friends are living however all the good guys are gone – what she’s going to end up with is her own Dream Man, but not before they face down a psychotic stalker whose eye is on Lottie.
There are intense parts of ‘QUIET MAN’ while emotions run high and of course, there are sizzling sexy moments but there is so much more. Every great KA character comes back in this book and it really is a great read.
Back to Quiet Man - Lottie and Mo. I loved them together. The stalker aspect of the storyline didn't play as large a part as I was expecting, but the influx of all my favourite characters into the storyline more than made up for it. The Rock Chicks, the Hot Bunch, Tex, Hawk and his Commando's. Mo's sisters added another level of crazy that was a lot of fun to read. Mag, Axl, Auggie and Boone - I'm really anticipating their books now.
I have wanted more Lottie since we met her in the RC books, and any man who works with Hawk Delgado is alright with me!
I have been setting Lottie up in my mind with a few of the unattached men that have popped up in the series, however none could ever be the man that Mo is to Lottie.
They say it is the quiet ones you need to watch out for - well, watch him Lottie did. It was fun watching Mo struggle with his attraction to Lottie, who was not backwards in coming forwards about what she wanted.
And one thing that I loved - seeing all the Hot Bunch come to Lottie. One in, all in with those men. Sigh.... makes me want to go read the Rock Chicks books all ... again!
Sometimes with these shorter stories, things can feel rushed, however that was not the case with Quiet Man. Because we have met these characters before and knew their stories, this was just another fabulous addition.
I want - no I need more!
The story has Kristen's signature style - stoic alpha hero, strong/sweet heroine, family/friends, lots of descriptions, crazy moments and drama. QM is lightish on plot and more a character-based story.
Readers will recall Lottie from 'Rock Chick Rescue'. Being a stripper puts Lottie McAllister in the spotlight for a psycho stalker - enter Hawk's Commando, Mo Morrison, for protection duty. Naturally, the chemistry is powerful and passionate, but Mo needs to keep things professional, so there's plenty of sexual tension.
QM is the beginning of a new KA series where Hawk's dream men find their dream ladies. This introduction also touches base with other characters from RC series and DM series. It's not a favourite for me, but it's certainly an enjoyable read.
Mo is assigned to Lottie as she has a whacko after her but the rest is history when it's taken care of & they will never be part again- in true Kristen Ashley style you drawl over every word
Smokin’ hot and chock full of badassness. It had all the best parts of a Kristen Ashley book!!!
Loved all the cameos from past hot bunch members and all the commandos. I loved meeting all of hawks bunch and I cannot wait to read their stories!!!

This is a great story, I loved it. It’s called a novella but in all honesty it’s as long as some authors normal books. Well done Kristen.
This focuses on Lottie, one of the Rock Chicks, Jet’s sister. As a Dream Man story with a bit of Rock Chick thrown in, it of course involves drama, a dream man, Mo, and a few amusing moments. It also involves Smithie and the indomitable Tex. As always the characterisation is great. One of the original ‘Dream men’ wasn’t involved in it a teeny bit but it was fine anyway.
I’m not giving any spoilers away so buy and enjoy.
I put off reading this for ages but I’m gutted I did. Lottie jet sister is main character and while dancing for smithie develops a stalker. Smithie hires Hawk because they wanted to keep hot bunch and rock chicks out of it.
Mo is a commando that works for Hawk and within seconds of meeting Lottie falls hard. They do a great job building sexual tension because Mo keeps it professional while protecting lottie.
I love that all previous characters are involved across different book series. I’ve just got Mag and Evie/Evan book for Christmas so looking forward to that.
However whatever this lady writes I enjoy, and this was no exception, with a few previous characters from the Dream man series and the Rock Chicks.
Most enjoyable but guess I'm back to re-reads of Ms Ashley now till next year.
