The end?Reviewed in the United States on 24 October 2016
I loved Quentin and Lowey's story! If you have been following the series until now, you were definitely ready for the final puzzle piece. Quentin broke up with Harlow, the owner of a local bar, several months ago. His life was turbulent and he didn't want to be tied down, so he walked out on her. Just when things seem settled and he decides to try again, Lowey's ex-husband reappears and makes the decision for them. I will not spoil the ending for you but certainly hope that we will see more of this town and it's new inhabitants😊
Needed more proofreading...Reviewed in the United States on 26 October 2016
While I liked Quentin and Lowey's story, I thought it was too short. I love Seraphina's books and loved all of the Bourbon and Blood books but this one was the least proofread of all and had a lot of missing words throughout. The whole thing felt rushed. I get that absence can make the heart grow fonder but Quentin had an unrealistic quick change of heart. Also Lowey was too trusting to have gone through so much in her past and with Quentin. While I will read another instalment of Bourbon and Blood, I just hope the next one has better proofreading, longer, and more detailed. Overall, I'm still a fan.
Family saga!Reviewed in the United States on 2 November 2016
I think this one has been my favorite of the series. I love second chance love and family stories and boy oh boy did Quentin need a second chance! After a huge blowout with his half brother at Thanksgiving he stumbles into his former flames dive bar to have a drink. Harlow Tate is just as beautiful as he remembers and when danger begins inundating her life his protective instincts rise. Small town intrigue, murder, sex and family make a great tale. Recommended read!!!

Great series. Favorite of the series thus far.Reviewed in the United States on 26 November 2017
Quentin is a fun read. Bowlin added a great story to the Fire Creek Saga. I really like that this series is set in my home state very close to where I live. This book pulls in the characters from the previous ones seamlessly. I liked the multiple POVs. It helped the story move along and told the story. Quentin is shown as very alpha but not invincible. Harlowe is a sassy heroine.

I loved this book just as much as I loved the previous one. I hope to hear more from these families especially after reading the epilogue.
