There is so much I found wrong with this one, I don’t know where to begin. Once again there is the dub con issues I had a problem with in the first novel. That is made worse by the fact that as far as I can tell, the king has no redeeming qualities. At least with the 4 horsemen series, their alien thinking can be put down to the fact they are not human. The king is human, so he just comes across as horrible.
Unfortunately I did not finish and will not be reading book 3. If you are into this type of book, you might like it. But it isn’t for me.
