So, I adored this book. Jo is a likeable protagonist struggling to believe in her writing, who's surrounded by such a loveable cast of characters (cute pup included). In particular, her relationship with her adopted six-year-old sister, Clara will no doubt warm your heart. In Pursuit of Happiness is also a little love letter to Derry and I loved it. I didn't see the twist coming either, which I always appreciate, especially in romance novels. All in all, if you're looking for a book with those warm and fuzzy feels, I recommend In Pursuit of Happiness!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC - all opinions are my own.
Lorcan has arrived at Ivy Lane to to visit his Grandad. He has his own self doubts and troubles to contend with and opening up to Jo might be a step in the right direction for him to find his own happiness.
Clara, Jo’s adorable younger sister, really steals the show!
This was a heartwarming romance. A great addition to the Ivy Lane series, I really hope there are more books planned after this one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

There are a few typos/wrong words in it and I thought there was a little too much angst from Jo (but maybe the author knows exactly how a new author would feel!). But overall a light, heartwarming book and I would read more by this author.
Jo has written a novel and would love to have it published but is struggling to be brave and follow her dream. In this novel we follow Jo as she deals with the trials and tribulations of becoming a published author.
What a lovely story! I loved The Hopes and Dreams of Libby Quinn and couldn't wait to return to Ivy Lane. The characters and community are incredibly endearing so I couldn't wait to reconnect with them all (you don't need to have read Libby Quinn to read this one though - they are novels in their own right too). Very highly recommended and the perfect novel for these challenging times!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.
This time, the focus is on Jo and it tells a different tale altogether.
I especially enjoyed the banter with Jo's sister Clara...She was a delight. This book was another hit for me and it features some very interesting characters, mainly very nice.
A great heart-warming read, like catching up with old friends but without being ‘fluffy’!! Looking forward to more stories from this wonderful community
