As I write this review I am on a short term mission to Parot Village and Cush for Christ School.
I began this book only days before leaving. The is book is an enjoyable read detailing the experiences of the Ward family who lived in South Sudan successfully for 10 years. If you are interested in missions you will find it encouraging. And as always you will see the hand of God as He weaves grace and mercy into the lives of those who seek Him.

Not only is this encouraging to see the Lord working through His people when they are willing, but it is also is challenging to myself to be an open vessel for God's purposes. This was like devotional reading, as it caused me to reflect on my own walk with God. One of my favorite parts of the book are the written prayers at the beginning of chapters. In those prayers, the reader gets an insight into Vince's longing to see God glorified and then you see God in action, answering the prayers even in the midst of much hardship. Praise God for this work and may God use it raise up more laborers to reach the ends of the earth with the gospel!
