I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
I enjoyed this story but felt it was a little light on plot. She was a really strong character but I felt she still managed to have far too many 'girlie' moments for a hardened assassin, such as with her attack in the pleasure city. Even injured surely she was equal to an imperial soldier and not in need of rescue? Strong lead in to next book.

She’s got me hooked
Another awesome read! I love everything about this world.
This is the story of Alana and Raas Bron. They are both such great characters!
Alana is a strong, resourceful and adaptive assassin, a fighter and a survivor in the violent world she’s been thrown into since her youth. But she’s also caring and protective.
Bron is a stubborn, arrogant, strong and possessive warrior - as a Raas should be. His insecurities about being a Raas and about making the right decisions for his mate and his horde made me love him even more.
Alana and Bron are kindred spirits and perfect for each other.
The story is filled with action, battles, mystery, difficult decisions and scorching romance. I absolutely enjoyed every page of it!
I did not really warm up to the female assassin but she was okay. The Raas keep being interesting and different from one another. I will definitely keep on reading this series.
