Read as part of the Paranormal Dating Agency but I was happy to visit the Maverick Pride too.
This was an okay read that sort of races forward with a little bit of story and over descriptive explanation of minor things.
An impatient hero who doesn’t listen to Gerri’s warning.
I did enjoy visiting this Pride again and was happy it was Reginald who gets a mate.
He is just a bit silly and keeps making mistakes. First he doesn’t explain everything to Gretchen before having sex and marking her. Then he doesn’t explain the importance of who Gretchen is to him. His Fated Mate.
Self depreciating big sized heroine who puts herself down continually but is supposed to be happy with herself and her life.
She then listens to jealous bitching rather than ask her best friend, the Nari of the pride, for the truth.
The O/W other woman, drama was annoying but I did feel sorry when Pamela told of the horrors that nasty Blake perpetrated. Glad Elissa was on the ball there asking for all the names.
A few proofreading errors that were annoying, tale instead of tail, missing/wrong words and a total change of meaning due to using the wrong word about Reg’s tigers size. (nearly half the size of hers). Should be TWICE the size of hers. Makes it seem she is larger when it is the other way around.
Read through Kindle Unlimited but would not be paying for a book so badly in need of a decent proofreader.
