Omg I love love lance and poppy ❤️❤️❤️ I don’t have a lot of words about why but his story is heart breaking and she is just perfect for him
There are a few glimpses of the other characters from the series in this book but not as many as I thought there would be .. but somehow that was a ok . But I do want to read more of how she interacts and becomes part of that group !! This book was my Favorite of the aeries though in terms of character development for lance !!
"“I want to be with you. I want to be what you need. That’s all I want."
Pucked Off by Helena Hunting was a book I was so eager to read and I was not disappointed. Lance what a tormented hero he was but oh so amazing and sweet. And Poppy was a gorgeous heroine and just perfect for Lance. This was defiantly a more angst read compared to her other books in this series but loved it just as much. But don't worry there is lots of banter and funny bits that we have loved from this series. I really didn't want this book to end it was that good. I've always been a huge Randy and Lily lover but Lance and Poppy have given the top spot a good shove! A brilliant 5+++ read! Highly recommended!
I really love this Pucked group of people. Every story gets me deeper into their lives, and I can't wait to read more. I really didn't expect Lance's story to be like this, and I don't want to give the storyline away, so all I'll say is, "wow!". I loved Poppy, she's an amazing woman, and really was the best thing to ever happen to Lance. She has a healing touch , for sure. I love Helena's stories, and how they suck you right in, getting your emotions involved. I wanted to step in and do a lot of ninja moves on one particular character in this book, just because someone had to do it! Honestly, this one deserves a couple of slaps and more for what they did. If you've never read a book from this series, I'm totally recommending them to you now. Start from the first book, and when you get to Lance's story, I'm pretty sure you'll love him as much as I did. And want to do ninja stealth moves on someone, hahahahahaha. Thanks, Helena! Love your great head full of stories
I haven't read any of the other books in this series, yet, so it took me a bit to find my feet but ooohhhhh it was worth it. Lance 'Romance' Romero is not who you think he is, he's way more fragile and broken than anyone knows. Except of course for the one woman who hurts him the most, his kind of ex, Tash. But when he is scheduled for a massage with Poppy O'Connor his perceptions of himself begin to change. Little does Lance know there's a good reason why he feels a sense of comfort with Poppy, if only he could remember...... I loved the journey these two take, nothing happens too quickly and there are plenty of issues to work through but that's what made it such a great read. I might just have to read the rest now!
WOWSERS!!!!!! Helena Hunting has outdone herself with PUCKED OFF! This book was funny, sexy and full of emotion and heartache! I have always been curious about Lance in the previous Pucked books! I loved that Poppy was the perfect balm to his painful past, and I loved how she calmed him and helped him to overcome all his demons. She was the perfect heroine and like the previous heroines of this series, I want to be best friends with!!! I really hope Ms. Hunting keeps writing more books for these characters as I can't get enough!!!
Lance has always intrigued me, throughout this whole series, I knew his story was going to be a doozy, and it was! The first chapter had me hurting for him so bad and I just wanted to know more. Helena was brilliant in setting up this story line. From the earlier books, you assume you know the outcome, but the old saying of two sides to every story rings true.
Lance was just so compelling and consuming. He will be the first to tell you it is either a little or full force. And Lance at full force is delectable. His story is not an easy one to hear, he has demons from his childhood that has deep scars and makes it hard for him to trust. He has been burnt before. After getting into a bar brawl, saving a woman from domestic violence, he is in need of a therapeutic massage to get the kinks out before the pre season game. This in itself is torture, and not because of all the bruising. Although, an unexpected thing happens when he meets Poppy. For the first time ever, he enjoyed a massage and is now hooked on her hands.
What I loved most about this story was Lance, his vulnerabilities and insecurities were real and didn't feel forced. The way this couple came together wasn't instant and the time it took them to discover their feelings was magic. There was some angst, but it wasn't over any silly misunderstanding. These two acted like normal adults. Once Lance knew that Pretty Poppy was someone special, he was determined to keep her safe from outsiders. I am finding it hard to say this, but I think I love Lance more than Randy Balls! And that is saying something. Lance just makes me go all goo gar and I am so contented he found his HEA.
This is a standalone book, and you will be able to follow along with no problems. You will meet a few of the other couples from the pervious books, which I am sure it will make you want to go and read them too. If this is not your first Pucked book, this is a must one for all Pucked series lovers.

It is always a great day when I get reunited with the lads and lasses from the Pucked series, but I was really, really wanting Lance's story.
And it was so much more than I could ever have expected.
Whilst it still has its funny and sexy and dirty times, Pucked Off is darker than the previous books. Lance is a tortured soul, a horrible childhood and years of felling like crap. I was surprised at how deep his demons ran, and what was behind the enforcer.
Poppy knows Lance from her childhood and now they are back in each others worlds ,but with what consequences.
And remember Tash from the earlier books? I really liked her before, but nope, her true colours have come out and don't want to give much away, but she is a bit of a psycho hose beast! And I just wanted to slap her with my kindle every time she turned up on the page.
Every page I turned I just needed to know more. I got frustrated at times with Lance's inability to let himself move forward, but at the same time I could understand.
Poppy is a strong, independent woman that I just adored from the get go.
We got lots of the other pucked people, and it was nice, as much as I freaking LOVE Violet's smutty mouth, to get a saner, deeper side of her at time. But we still got the crazy!
I really adored this addition to the Pucked series, it was sweet and sexy and adorable, and Lance Romance may now be my second favourite ranga (but no one will every beat my Prince Harry!)
