Sorry but this was one of the worst M&B books I have ever read. Boring, totally unrealistic (even for a fantasy read) They lose their child 6 months earlier in a car crash and they speak about the child with little or no emotion. He is thinking one minute how he feels he needs to protect her and in the next line he is thinking of how he is going to get his revenge. He keeps doing this until you are dizzy reading it. The heroine on the other had is an equal waste of space. The whole book is totally unbelievable and I could not wait to get to the end (hate paying for something and get nothing for it) What a waste of money. Will not read this author again based on this book.

I can't believe I bought this drivel. I should be paid for reading it. I read it in appalled fascination, as though I was reading a monster. For the hero was a monster. Uncaring, cruel, egoistical, accusing, and no redemptive qualities at all. No apologies for what he thought about his wife (all wrong of course) and the pain he and his family caused his wife. No real acknowledgement of her pain. A truly horrific hero and an example of what a hero should never be.
I was very disappointed in this book because it started off so well. It was so good in the first few chapters that I started to write my review and I raved about it. In the middle it just went flat and I hated the Hero and his lady. Felt nothing for either one and I really can't recommmend this book at all.
