About the Author

HAROLD KERZNER, Ph.D., a prominent instructor for the International Institute of Learning (IIL), is currently Professor of Systems Management at Baldwin–Wallace College in Ohio and President of Project Management Associates, a consulting and training firm that conducts seminars for leading U.S. and international corporations. He is the recipient of a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Illinois and has taught engineering at that institution and business administration at Utah State University, where he received the 1998 Distinguished Service Award. E' la nona edizione (a fronte forse della dodicesima oggi disponibile) di uno dei migliori manuali sulle tecniche di gestione dei progetti. Acquistato a seguito di corsi di formazione in azienda in formato cartaceo per consultazione periodica; non è chiaramente una lettura "da viaggio" per mole e delicatezza delle pagine, piuttosto sottili.

Prodotto ordinato nuovo in data 11/03/2021 per 17,39€ e consegnato il giorno seguente in anticipo di 4 giorni rispetto ai tempi indicati al momento dell'ordine. Ritengo il manuale concreto e puntuale, Kerzner non risulta eccessivamente schematico ed è adatto a approfondire tecniche e modus operandi gestionali nell'ottica di autoformazione/training per crescita di ruolo; non è invece il prodotto corretto per chi vuole prepararsi ad uno specifico esame, come ad esempio certificazione PMP.

This book is quite bad. You can tell it is the ninth edition because the material does not flow or build upon itself, it contradicts itself from section to section, and fails to use the same terminology from one section to the next. The questions at the end of the chapters often have nothing to do with the content in the chapter and sometimes even refer to non-existent figures or charts, which further leads me to believe that this book suffers from bad editing. Finally, there are literally thousands upon thousands of bullet points in this book (it reminds me of one big boring PowerPoint presentation), so it is really tedious to read. In fact this book put me to sleep more often than not, so if you suffer from insomnia, this might be just what you need.
