I had been using Advocate for fleas and worms but my vet pointed out that it didn't actually kill tapeworms which is one of the most common cat worms!
I now use this product for the worming side of things and a separate flea treatment, it does leave a residue patch on their coat for a couple of days but still much easier than trying to get a tablet down the cats throat, so long as you're quick to apply it that is - because as soon as the cat starts to feel it they will bolt out the door quicker than you've ever seen them run!
I had read some reviews on other sites about horrible side effects and a bald patch appearing where the product was applied but I have two very different cats, a rag doll and a common breed and neither had any ill effects.
