"Best installment yet." --"Kirkus Reviews" "Walton sure-handedly evokes a primitive realm where the Otherworld seamlessly impinges upon reality, bringing sounds, smells, sorrow, hatred and burning love to life as powerfully as the thrust of a barbed spear. She also captures the terrible beauty of a warrior race in an outworn time, struggling, in Yeats's phrase, to come clear of the eternal nets of wrong and right." --"Publishers Weekly" --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

TediousReviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 August 2013
I found this book very much inferior to the others in the trilogy. I did not like the style, it took me much longer than usual to finish reading it, and when I had finished, I was left wondering what the book was all about.
Couldn't put it downReviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 July 2013
Keep me awake practically all night. A gripping tale, although at times a bit wordy. I really liked this and the other books in the series.

A compelling readReviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 December 2013
I bought the trilogy when they were in the daily kindle deal, never having heard of Jo Walton before, but I was drawn into the stories and the characters and really enjoyed the books.
