He MAKES the rules.
She BREAKS THEM.
Mogul or Monster?
Billionaire Weston Wilcox hasn't been seen by the outside world in almost a decade.
No face to face meetings.
No interviews.
No social media accounts.
Despite his ghost demeanor he continues to financially flourish and make his fellow investors richer with every decision. Throughout the years many have sought to discover the man inside the mogul while others have spread legends painting him as a heartless monster consumed by greed.
None of it matters to him.
Weston's true identity is secured away in his estate of solitude, which consists of the only people in the entire world he believes he can trust.
That is until he's asked to allow a guest access to the property under extreme circumstances.
One he knows he shouldn't.
It doesn't take long before his world is turned upside down, unexpected threats arise, and Weston's forced to ask himself what really should be kept private?

About the author

Xavier Neal is a best-selling romance author who enjoys hopping from sub genre to sub-genre like a game of Hopscotch she can't resist.
In between writing, she loves to read (everything from romance to self improvement books), watch movies (old and new), eat too much Tex-Mex (her Chuy's t-shirt collection is out of control), and watch AHL hockey games LIVE (preferably against the glass whenever possible).
She currently resides happily in Texas with her bearded husband "Lumberjack”.

Wes has lived in a self imposed exile, from the outside world, until Brynley turns it upside down. She comes to his estate to be near her ill mother, Wes' employee, and he is captivated from the minute she exits the car. Concerned with his appearance from a previous disfiguring accident, Wes hasn't been seen by anyone except employees for 10 years but he cannot resist Bryn, slowly exposing himself more and more. There a a few twists along the way and no HEA yet, I'll be waiting for book 2 to find out if he gets the girl.

I honestly couldn't take to the male lead to start with but after reading about him a little more I softened. The female lead is fabulous and I wouldn't change a thing! Some of the characters I could quite happily kick in the face!!
But this is what Xavier does best, she drags you into her world and makes you feel a part of it. To me books are all about escapism from the sometimes boring things we have to endure in life - Xavier's work epitomises this for me.
Fantastic read, fantastic writer. Keep up the great work xxx

I fell for Wes’ character from the very beginning. He’s an emotionally and physically scarred man which I always find intriguing. This reclusive and somewhat broken character reminds us that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Once he meets Bryn, a spunky and confident woman, he learns that life’s challenges can be met head-on, and with the love and support of a good woman, they can be overcome.
I’m guessing more twist and turns for this couple in book two await and I can’t wait to read what the author has in store for me.
