Product Description

While Princesses Sleep Box Set 1 contains books 1-4 in the Princesses of Chadwick Castle Adventure series. (Princess Castle Adventure Mystery series) It is a tale of two princess sisters, Elle age 12, and Belle, 10 and is great for readers who love Cinderella-type fairy tales and European princess stories.

The first book, While Princesses Sleep, diaries their adventures which culminate in Book 8. While Princesses Sleep opens with Princess Elle discovering a strange sound in the night. Curious, she determines the reason for these mysterious noises and starts the adventure with her sister, Belle. Something is afoot at the castle and they must find out what this is. However, finding the truth behind the secrets they stumble upon leads them to strange answers? What sort of trouble will the princesses get themselves into?

This children's full-color, illustrated storybook is written from a first person point of view and is similar to a princess diary type book. In the princesses' adventure, they are also introduced to the world of ballet. The spin-off series (coming soon) will deal more with ballerinas and ballet stories.

If your child enjoys stories from authors like Kate DiCamillo, Cynthia Rylant,
Mem Fox, Lily Lexington or Gary Paulson then your child will love this beautiful Princess adventure story.

The series features artwork from the art masters whose works have entered the public domain and are no longer restricted by copyright.

Who is the princess castle series for?
As a homeschool mom, I have always enjoyed reading to the younger kids during read-aloud sessions and what better time than right before bed? For young readers ages 6-8 the series makes an excellent bedtime story. I wrote the series primarily for girls age 7-12. I hope to expose young readers to artwork from master artists of the world. My hope is that the princess series will be a children's illustrated classic someday.

The book is really relaxing and I enjoyed reading it even though its pretty simple. I liked how the book still have that suspense elements even the book is intended for children. The book contains four story which every story ended in cliffhanger and it just made the reader eager to know what happened next. I liked how the book contains moral values like princesses dont lie. It is a good lesson for children since young. The author was using a simple language with enough details for the dress and the situation which made it really easy for children to understand the story. There were a lot of illustrations in each story which made it more interesting and easy for the children to imagine the scene. Overall, I think the book was beautiful. It really suits children with the idea of dancing and princesses and I like how relaxing it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely, Wholesome Reading for Young Girls! 1 April 2016
By Susan Barton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is a set of books about the adventures of two little princesses that are geared toward young girls. Twelve year old Elle and her ten year old sister Belle live in Chadwick Castle. They’re looked after by their governess, Madame Lovella and their respective ladies-in-waiting. The stories are told in first person, past tense, which I greatly appreciated.

Book One begins with a mystery that the two princesses must solve. Elle has overheard a commotion in the castle and she’s worried about her mother the Queen. Elle had only caught snippets of conversation, but what she’s heard causes her enough distress to devise a plan that might just get her and her sister in trouble…or worse.

Renoir’s classic paintings accompany the text in Book One. They add a charming and appropriately Victorian feel to the books. The author has added a brief artist bio at the end of Book One. In fact, each book in the series is constructed in this manner. What a lovely way to introduce young children to art and artwork! In Book Two, Three and Four the mystery continues and features the works of Degas, William Paxton and Albrecht Durer. A crisis occurs in Book Four that is sure to keep youngsters in suspense.

Ms. Right has a wonderfully engaging style of writing. I loved that although the main characters are proper young princesses they still bicker like all sisters and get into trouble like ordinary little girls. This certainly makes Belle and Elle easily relatable to young readers.

The princess stories are absolutely charming and should appeal to even the very young child. Parents and grandparents can read to little ones and older children should have no problem reading these books alone. These are wholesome, timeless tales for families to share together!
5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely set of books for young girls 3 October 2016
By Sandra - Published on Amazon.com

This is such a lovely set of books for young girls to read. I stumbled across this set when looking for some books to read with my young niece while she is vacationing with our family. The price is very reasonable and this encouraged me to purchase the set, as you have little to lose. I had not read anything from this author before, and there is always that sense of nervousness of what you might receive, but I was very happy with this set of novels, and easily justified the cost and risk taken, as the overall story is really lovely. I read through the first book myself, just to ensure that it was age appropriate, and even found myself getting involved in the story, and before I knew it I had finished the first book! The story is perfect to read to young girls, probably from ages 5 and above, or the child could read it on their own from probably ages 7 and above, depending on their reading skills. The chapters are lovely and short, which helps maintain a really fast pace, which is ideal in keeping the attention of the listener or reader. The length of each book is ideal for reading one book together a night at bedtime, and the ending of the books are really intriguing and leave the story at a point of mystery so that you feel enthusiastic to read the next book the next night, so as to find out what happens. The writing style and language is perfect for young girls, and very age appropriate. The story is ideal for those parents/carers who are looking for a “traditional”, “clean” and “innocent” story, which is full of simple adventure, fun, sibling relationships, a little bit of “fantasy” and imagination, a creative plotline and imaginative settings. I absolutely loved the inclusion of the artwork, and how there is an educational edge to the book, where you can discuss the paintings and artwork. The word ‘charming’ really is the perfect word to describe this story, and I am thrilled to have stumbled across them. I have already purchased the box set of books 5-8, as my niece (and myself!) are eager to finish off the full story. I will certainly look at the author’s other books and definitely recommend this set of books to parents/carers, school teachers etcetera who are looking for a lovely, age appropriate, “traditional” story which has plenty of fun and adventure to keep the listener/reader enthusiastically interested.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything needed to fire a child's imagination! 15 February 2016
By R. Grant - Published on Amazon.com

I hadn’t read any of the Princesses of Chadwick Castle books until this collection came out. I was really glad to be able to read straight through books 1-4 (which are really all part of one big story) and look forward to getting the second collection. As an adult, I enjoyed this charming story, but as a little girl I would have gone wild over it. It has everything that used to fire my imagination: mysteries, secret passageways, castles, costumes—and beautiful illustrations! In a strange way, this series reminds me of a book it has little else in common with: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. That book took pre-existing pictures and wove them and the narrative together to make a richer story, and as others have mentioned, Right does the same with the beautiful, classic artwork that becomes a seamless part of this tale.
4.0 out of 5 stars Elle and Belle were the Princesses of Chadwick Castle. Nothing interesting ever happened in the castle. 13 February 2016
By Julie Baswell - Published on Amazon.com

Elle and Belle were the Princesses of Chadwick Castle. Nothing interesting ever happened in the castle. Then one night, Elle was awoken by many mysterious footsteps in the hallway outside her room. Belle had heard them too. After the second night of footsteps, they know something strange is going on. Since it wasn’t proper for them to ask questions, they secretly investigate on their own. What they discover though, is more excitement than they bargained for.

These four stories for young readers will keep you interested to the end. It warmed my heart with their innocence and adventurous spirits. I liked that a different artist was featured at the end of each book. I also enjoyed the paintings interspersed throughout. It gave learning opportunities for the reader, without taking away from the story.
