Product Description

One fake relationship shaken not stirred...

Bar manager Paul Chapman is sick of his family's traditional ideals. Marriage, babies, and a white picket fence? Not his gig. But now that his 'golden child' big brother is tying the knot, Paul's screwed. His ex will be there...and she's having his cousin's baby. Unless he wants to show up to the wedding alone and face his family's scrutiny, he needs a girl on his arm. Now.

Cocktail specialist Libby Harris has spent her life earning the nickname Little Miss Perfect, all to win the love of her wealthy, controlling father. But she deviated from his plan, and now her business is on shaky ground. If it fails, she might as well kiss his respect-and her dream-good-bye. Her only hope? Convince the hottest bar in town to take on her product.

Luckily for her, the owner's brother is sexy as sin and in need of a perfect girlfriend...

I have to admit I'm a sucker for love stories where the 'deal' between the main characters go awry.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent love story by Stephanie London 5 May 2016

An excellent love story by Stephanie London. Between chuckles and tears, this is one book that was very enjoyable to say the least...........While observing as an onlooker at his own brother's engagement party, bartender Paul Chapman was aware of two things. First, he was never getting married if his life depended on it and secondly, he was avoiding relationships, love, and attachments of any kind. Ever since his ex-fiance dumped him for his cousin, it not only put a dent in his ego but it made him see the dangers of any woman, especially when he saw that glint in their eyes. Been there, done that! He was through with the idea of love, family, and promises, or was he? At least, that was the personna Paul allowed everyone to see and as a bartender in his brother's bar, that would be the only thing he did know for sure. Putting those facts aside, Paul still needed a date for his brother's wedding to show his ex that he didn't miss her at all, nor could he care less one way or another. With the recent news on television and radio on full alert, pre-med student Libby Harris didn't know if she should cry or strangle someone. Why did this famous actress have to have the same idea as her? With the decision made, Libby was giving up med school to follow her dreams, which was, starting her own business by making flavored infused vodka coctail mixes and selling her ideas to local restaurants and bars, Naming it "Libby Gal Cocktails", and she knew with a certainy, it could be a huge success but little did she know that her life was about to change forever, when she accidentally bumped into a very handsome guy and sinfully sexy for his own good, Paul Chapman. Paul couldn't believe his own eyes when he stared at the beautiful girl standing before him and when he heard her story and the desperation in her voice, giving him the most inspiring idea. She could portray his fake- girlfriend at the wedding, and she could sell her idea to his brother about her cocktails. Perfect plan, right? With the two of them agreeing, they placed the ground rules. No falling in love and absolutely no sex! Of course, they had no idea that they would later regret those rules or the outcome. It seemed easy enough, as they plotted their next move being that they would have to pretend to be in love. What could possibly go wrong? Especially since they made plans to officially break up after the wedding by going their seperate ways never looking back. But when passion takes over, they not only find themselves in a scorching love affair, but emotions run wild, forcing them both to break each other's hearts in the crosshairs, something either one of them counted on. Will true love find a way to keep them together?..........this book was quite enjoyable.....thank you....♡♡
5.0 out of 5 stars This book brought me back to the romance genre. I loved it! 30 April 2017

This book brought me back to the romance genre. It popped up in my Amazon recommendations after I gifted a romance novel to someone and when I saw the cover and read the premise (fake relationship, my biggest weakness) and I impulsively one-clicked. I am so glad that I did! I read this book in one day and FELL IN LOVE with the crew from First and with Stefanie London's books.

For those who are sensitive to language and sex - there is both on-screen sex and cursing in this book, so if those aren't your jam, you might want to skip this book. But if you do, you'll be missing out on a heck of a story. Pretend It's Love is the second in a series, but it completely stands alone and DOES NOT end on a cliffhanger. Reading the first book is not required to fall in love with Paul and Libby. But for the record, the first book (The Rules According To Gracie) is fabulous and should be read for that reason.

While the sex scenes were hot hot, there was none of the all-too-common “sex = love” trope in this book, which I appreciated. Libby and Paul actually developed a relationship while acting like fake-fiances, and I adored watching their relationship progress. Paul and Libby are one of my favorite romance novel couples ever because although their love story starts as a fake relationship, they have sparks of attraction from the very start. Not only do they have incredible chemistry, but their personalities compliment each other perfectly and they make each other better when they're together. I love that.

Ms. London pens a cheerful, beautiful love story and I am so glad that I found this book and this author. If you like a story about fake-relationships or just a love story between two people who are stronger together and so obviously belong together from the start, you should give this one a read. You won't be sorry!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fake to Real 13 March 2017

This book is such a sweet, sexy contemporary romance and the chemistry between the characters are undeniable. The humor is a bonus and losing a few hours of your day with this fast page turning book is so worth it.
Libby and Paul both want nothing to do with Love and Marriage. They've been burned once and learned there lesson well.
So, a plan of a fake relationship to a fake engagement is put into place to help Libby with her business and get Paul's family off his back.
We follow along on the tale of friends to lovers and we just know these two will find there HEA after a couple interesting twists.

You never know when you will meet the one person who understands you. This story is about self discovery and learning what you want most in life. Most important is learning to value who you are. The love story was just a cherry on top.
