Product Description

There were two brothers—identical twins—and though I loved them both, my soul belonged to only one.

Annalia Del Valle has loved Preston Sawyer all her life. The daughter of an impoverished migrant farmworker, she grew up as an outcast in what was no more than a tiny, cooped up shack in California’s Central Valley. But her heart found freedom in the land, in the wide-open spaces of Sawyer Farm, and in the boys who were her only friends.

Preston has yearned for Annalia since he was a boy. But a sense of honor kept him from pursuing her until he’s unable to hold back any longer and their worlds—and bodies—collide one hot summer night. A night that sets off a chain of events that will alter their lives forever.

Now Annalia is back in town after disappearing without a trace for six long months. Determined to reclaim her heart, her life, and the baby she left behind—the son who was created in a moment of lust and love and pent-up yearning.

Preston has survived grief, a ravaging drought, and the despair of heartache, but he’s not sure he can survive Annalia again. And he might be unwilling to try. Will pride and bitterness keep him from the one thing he’s always longed for?

How do you heal what is irreparably broken? How do you forgive that which is unforgivable? How do you discover that real honor comes not from circumstance, but from the place deep in our hearts where truth resides? And how do you move beyond the wounds of the past to discover that some loves are as solid as the ground beneath your feet, and as enduring as the earth itself?

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY GEMINI. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Mia Sheridan is one of those authors you know will transport you and break your heart then put it back together in a way where the scars are still very real and raw. This is yet another fine addition to her Zodiac series (that can all be read stand alone). I do think this was quite heartbreaking but not nearly as great as Archer's Voice or Grayson's Vow. That being said, read it in a quiet space where you can inhale it gently 'Preston’s Honor' is like her other books; in that it is a sweet, painful, captivating story.

This is the story of twin brothers Preston and Cole Sawyer and immigrant daughter Annalia. Annalia is a shy girl who keeps to herself and feels she doesn’t belong anywhere. She has no friends or anyone to look out for her but the Sawyer twins are different they are kind to Annalia and see her as a friend. They have known each other since they were children.

This book is raw and real - it really is a bittersweet read, warts and all. We see them as they go through various stages of life and hurt over the years and we grow and feel with them. Ultimately, this is so much more than just finding your soul mate, it highlights the importance of communication. So much time and pain could have been saved if Lia and Preston communicated with each other. This in itself was a little frustrating.

This book made me smile, cry and angered me because I couldn't tell which way it was going to go there for a while. And there were times I wanted to shake both Preston and Lia because I just couldn't understand why they made the choices they made - but it was all part of a bitter sweet yet beautiful journey. Overall, I enjoyed this heartbreaking story. Thank you Mia Sheridan.

Mia Sheridan’s stories are always well-written, full of anguish, beauty, heartbreak, conflict, poignancy and fate. Her works have an authentic feel, even though she writes about themes from a popular genre. Mia's ability to hook you from the start on her well-developed and empathetic plots/characters is a crafted talent. She does this via creating vivid imagery, connecting with your emotions and conversing naturally (and lyically) with readers through good dialogue and deep musings.
The scenario for Preston’s Honour is; can you move forward by going back to the beginnings of a relationship? Correct misunderstandings, ask for forgiveness, reveal secrets, react differently if the timing was right..if the circumstances have changed..if life has taught you lessons? Can you grasp for that elusive second chance?
The journey was told through present times intertwined with flashbacks, so the whole picture was unpacked gradually. The two main characters...young Preston could be immature, but he was also loyal, honourable, responsible and deeply in love with Annalia...young Lia was gorgeous, impoverished and a mix of vulnerability and strength. Of course as time passed, they grew, faced challenges and changed. The secondary characters were also a feature of the book.
Archer's Voice remains my favourite Sheridan novel, but I can highly recommend Preston’s Honour as an excellent narrative, told by a natural story-teller.

Omggggg!!!

Mia Sheridan has done it again!! I swear this woman is like the God mother of all great authors!! I've read all of Mia's books and this one is just as great as the rest of them, Archers Voice is still my all time greatest book ever! Can't wait for the movie! *squeeel*

This story is just so beautiful and heart breaking at the same time. Lia and Preston's love story does have a HEA but their struggle to get there has been filled with so much sadness and miscommunication that it's a story worth ready and diffinately a beautiful journey.

Buy this and read it, so worth it. If I could give it infinity stars for awesome I would!
