Over the course of 12 months I did the process three times. It has changed my life.
I let go of how I used to see life. I discovered alot about myself and it did teach me compassion for myself and others. It was not easy but I am so glad I did the Process.
I had to confront my demons and it s the best thing I have ever done thiugh at the time it was hard. You definitely get better at feeling and stop the over thinking.
I still do my breathing excercises regularly to keep myself grounded. If you are ready for a change do the process.
Again this is my personal review. A lot of philosophy and exercises to try to control your mind. There's no such thing as "control". How many times have you tried to control things? Did your strict diet worked?
Acceptance is the key. There is no effort but we cannot be perfect if we have to wake up at 5every morning and work for 12 hours. It's not that we are used to or that we are lazy. If you have free time you would naturally start to appreciate life as it is. I think that after some time I can be nurished only the best books, those written not to teach but those that inspire. This are sterile rules to me. Experience is all that matters.
I see myself repeating the process.
If you are looking to become at peace with yourself and to establish an authentic baseline in your life - rootedness in that which is - then I recommend it wholeheartedly.
I respect Michael for not setting up a business in facilitators bombarding me with emails and newsletters. I too had some of his illness and then developed other chronic physical, emotional and mental illnesses.
"The way out is through" is a simple concept. No more running away or seeking distraction from a feeling of inner emptiness. Discovering joy instead of the pursuit of avoidance of pain.
If you have physical pain which is explained or unexplained then this book is for you. Peace and sincere thanks to Michael Brown.
I was unsure about the content initially.
My second read through brought fresh insights. I needed time to reflect on the content. It’s a little repetitive however I found this helpful to fully absorb the content.
If you want to dive deep into your internal processes then this may be the book for you. The process requires commitment to a daily practice.
Be prepared to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and commit to the work to gain any benefit.
I have never reviewed anything on Amazon before (despite having purchased hundreds of books and DVDs from them over the years). That's how strongly I feel about this book.
What this book is not:
- an overly theoretical work
- a New-Age 'everything is perfect' panacea
- a neo-yogic reimagining of the author's own issues
- a patronising rehash of the wisdom of ancient traditions boiled down for Western audiences
What this book is:
- a rigorous, practical guide and instruction manual
- a tangible, daily practice
- a process of recovery from past trauma and emotional wounding
- a signpost to a path that will lead, if followed sincerely, to an ongoing encounter with the deepest truth about the nature of the self
