Pre-Aztec Series begins with:
The prequel, “At Road's End” - Tecpatl, an arrogant young warrior, arrives at the land of the Anasazi on a mission he wasn't eager to undertake. But the troubles and adventures he encounters there force him to face new realities about the world and himself.
In this collection the following titles are included:
**Book One, "The Young Jaguar" - Fifteen years later, Tecpatl is back in the Great Capital of the Tepanecs, a Chief Warlord and a very content man, still married to the Anasazi woman he loves, the woman his peers view as a barbarian. Yet, when Atolli, his elder son and a very promising but hotheaded youth, gets caught up in the political turmoil, he is forced to face a whole new set of troubles.
**Book Two, "The Jaguar Warrior" - Ten years later, Atolli, already an elite warrior, arrives in the Capital of the Aztecs on a mundane mission of enlisting the warriors of the subjected city. But then, thrust into situations where his own mortality and loyalties are questioned, he is compelled to grow up at long last.
**Book Three, "The Warrior's Way" - The action shifts back to the Tepanec Capital. The struggle to achieve their goals turns out to be more difficult than Atolli, Tecpatl, and the others had anticipated, while the restless Mesoamerican history keeps offering them more and more challenges.
