This is a book you can read in just one sit down it is that good but all i want now is the movie the first book(I am number 4) got a movie ages ago so why cant they continue the series. The other books are a must read even the lost files because they give you crucial background information that makes the series even better. Another thing on my wish list is the next book after the fate of ten which got me jumping for more.
I am loving the Lorien book series. The power of Six expands on the story started in I am Number Four and introduces us to new members of the Garde: Number 7 (Marina), Ella (effectively number 10) and Number 9. It also continues the story of John and Sam after they leave Paradise. It takes place in 2 different locations at the same time, one part told by John and the other told by Marina. Two separate journeys that will eventually lead the two groups back together, though not until a future book.
Absolutely deserves a five, thrilled me to the very end! I couldn't stop reading them, i am DYING for number five to come out! I highly recommend for those who fall in love with supernatural books like ones with magic, angels and demons!:) Hope more people read these!
This is the 2nd of the Main stories in the series, and follows on directly from I am Number Four. This book introduces a new Garde character, Number Seven, Marina, and her Cepan, Adelina. Marina and Adelina have had a different existence to most of the Loric we know on Earth, they ended up in a convent in the mountains of Spain. They have done little or no training, and Marina has really no idea of her gifts unless she accidently stumbles across one. Adelina has turned to religion to try and seek comfort for what has happened and has basically turned her back on the entire war against the Mogs. In the meantime, after opening up Fours chest, Four, Sam and Six go back to Paradise to check something out. I don’t want to give too much away. This leads to all sorts of complicated things when Four tries to see Sarah again, the FBI are involved, and so are the Mogadorians. This book alternates from fast pace in one part, to slow in another as we alternate between Four and Seven. Eventually, Seven picks up as well and then the pages will just be flipping by. As with the others, this a great fun read – the writing seems to improve with each evolution, characters are becoming well formed, and the background information is getting very detailed. As I have said with the other books , this is no Shakespeare, so don’t expect it, but do expect good fun, a bit of escapism and the great bit of Hero’s fighting off an evil alien race – just as this type of book should be. At the end of the book, Number Nine is also introduced – with some very interesting results. If you are a fan, or liked the first one, this is a must read. If you want the Lost Files series though – get them as the 1-3 Volume Series, its better value for money.
