This is a well written transition novel between the original crew and The Shields.
It was great to be able to spend time with the Hot Rides, Hot Rods & Powertools crew again.
It is surprising how an Ms Rylon is able to find a way to keep a long running series fresh.

Love the original Powertools crew and seeing them grow and continue in this new series has been great. Jayne Rylon is seriously the queen of super steamy romance, I'm so glad I decided to pick up the first Powertools book all those years ago.

Fabulous book

This is a wonderful book. It wraps up the new series of the original Powertools crew. It is a beneficial ok about the one crew member that is having an identity crisis. You follow him through his lack of confidence and his support system. His sexy and sex filled support system. This book hints at the new next series.

James, James, James!

He ha always been part of the story but now we see him SHINE.
The crew has moved to Middletown and now every former crew member is now a foreman of their own crew. However James is struggling with his new position. He never wanted to be a foreman and thus he struggles. He finds some satisfaction organizing all the other individuals of all the groups but even that can satisfy him for so long.
Leave it to Tom and Willie to come up with something for James. Is it a safe job? Maybe maybe not. Is it a meaningful job? 100% yes. Will James be perfect for the job? Read and see.
So happy to have this book in the series and to see where the new story goes.
I was lucky enough to be given an ARC for this story but as with any book in this combined series I have them all.

Book - 4 James' story
Reviewed in the United States on 22 January 2021Verified Purchase
One of the things i love best about pre-orders is that you wake up in the morning and voila - a book you've been waiting for miraculously appears.
POUND is the 4th (and I think final) book in "Powertools: The Original Crew Returns" and is FINALLY James' story. He's always been present in the Powertools stories, but we've not read much about him until now. It was cool to see him find his place in the Crews' world and I was surprised (not disappointed) by where the story went.
This definitely finished on a cliffhanger introducing a new series. I really like the way this author keeps things fresh while maintaining a general theme. It's always nice to meet new characters while revisiting "old".
Will watch for the pre-order for the next book :D

So excited to have the Powertools gang back. I love that both the Hot rides and Hot rods play a big part in this book as well. When James comes to almost a midlife crisis, in the sense that his life isn’t really going in the direction he is happy with, both his husband and wife are behind him to seek out what will make him happy. I really enjoyed getting to know James and his background. And plenty of sexy times with the crew to add some heat to the book. James has finally found his place, and now he has a goal in mind. What if he could find his sister that disappeared 30 years ago? Jayne Rylon has done it again, and if possible better. This book is exciting, a bit dangerous, romantic, and lots of love and friendship. The perfect combination for a great book.
